Hi Jon! Thanks for all the great content. I've been enjoying watching a lot! I bought the base game and I have a few solo plays in so far. In your opinion, should a new guy stick with the base game for a bit, or is there a set or expansion that really makes the game that you would purchase early.

Hey Joshua thanks for watching and leaving a nice comment! There is a lot of great content in the base game. My opinion on the expansions is if you like the game, get whatever you can when it's available because it's usually two to four years between reprints and they never announce them in advance. If you end up selling the game on, they will hold their value so don't worry about ending up with a bunch of worthless expansions. Having said that, my favorite way to play is Breakthrough which means you would need the Breakthrough expansion for the boards and scenarios and Winter Wars for the Breakthrough deck of cards. Winter Wars is probably my favorite of the small box expansions but I also really like Pacific Theater a lot and the Terrain Pack opens up a lot of possibilities to play a wider range of scenarios. I would say Terrain, Eastern, Pacific, Mediterranean, Winter Wars, and Breakthrough would keep you going for a long time. Thanks again, glad it's been useful to you.

Hi Sybar thanks for watching and commenting. Give me a little clarification what you mean by counter files and I'll help if I can. The brand of chips I ordered from Amazon was called Trademark. I just looked at my old orders and they are not available anymore but there are lots of blank poker chips available. Just make sure the indented part is 1.25 inches to match the size or you will have to resize the medal track icons to fit. If you have any other questions I'd be glad to help. Thanks again, Jon

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. The name of them is Spiel Pro Plastic Card Stands - Clear 3/4" - 10pc. I got them on Amazon but they are unavailable there and several other online outlets. It looks like Spiel Pro has discontinued there online shop so this may be something that is simply not available anymore. They are (were) a German company I believe. Hope this helps.
