Heat 3/4th cup oil
Add whole spices
. 1 tbsp Whole cumin
. 2 bay leaves
. 1-2 cinnamon sticks
. 5-7 long
. 5-7 pepper corns
. 1 black cardamom
. 2 green cardamom
Saute for a minute
Add 1 tbsp ginger paste and 1 tbsp garlic paste.
Add 2 onions sliced
Cook till soft
Add 8-10 curry leaves
Add 1/4 cup water so the onions do-not burn.
Add meat of your choice, Ive used boneless beef. 750grams
On high flame keep sautéing the meat.
Add 4-5 tomatoes in any form; chopped, sliced or whole.
Keep mixing for good 5 minutes.
Add spices:
Salt to taste.
Tumeric powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
Kasuri methi 1 tsp
Add 3 potatoes (cut according to your choice)
Add 2 cups of water
Cover and cook
Remove the potatoes if they're done
Add peas if they're not boiled
Add 750grams of soaked rice (I've taken Basmati)
Fry the rice for a while. Add desired water
For long grain rice add 1 tbsp vinegar
Check salt at this point
Give dum enjoy!
