I’m using the Preschool program this year and I have my son dress in uniform. I’ve found it helps him transition from play time to school time.

Thank you for sharing! That was a great conversation. When we first began homeschooling we had a ‘seasoned’ homeschooling family that offered many great suggestions that served us well. The mother and father were both former US Navy officers so they ran a tight - but happy - ship :). One suggestion was to simply have the kids wear chinos and polo shirts and skorts for the girls if desired (from French Toast for example) so that they were always dressed neatly and if they had to go out during the day for doctor’s appts etc the kids looked sharp. For some reason I have never met a little boy that doesn’t feel ten feet tall when he puts on his own belt :). The other was to create chore lists for everyone which encouraged team work and a sense of duty and responsibility that complements the training that one is doing in school.
