I absolutely loved this and actually made me emotional as it’s a wonderful video for your family to remember the past . My Great Grandparents came from Lambeth so this gave me a real sense of what it was like living there at that time .Thank you 😊

@@kimlakkides770 I'm so glad that you enjoyed it and could relate to the Lambeth of that time. I'll always be thankful that I captured some of my dad's memories in these recordings.

I enjoyed watching this video. A very interesting story, and I can relate to this area of Lambeth, because my family and I grew up in and around Lambeth Walk. I've been all over the world, but, Lambeth was the best place where I enjoyed living. People were friendly, it was a safe place to live, we didn't need social media in those days, crime was low.

Lovely film . If only my mum was here to see it she no doubt knew your family , she grew up in Ethelred St she was born 1917 .Her mother and sister got killed in the Balham tube bombing in WW2 I can imagine your family would have arranged their funerals . My mum also went to Lollards St school . My Dad worked in his brothers fish shop in Lambeth wAlk Marshalls . My mums maiden name was Lyle a family of 6 girls .

So sorry to hear about the bombing tragedy. My great grandfather the undertaker was retired by the second world war, and the family didn't carry on the business. I never knew who took it over.
