I love hearing the history from people who were actually there! My sister graduated in 1972, and I graduated in 1973. We loved our school, and our dear friends. It is so exciting to hear this account! Thank you so much! We are having our 50th reunion this year, I can hardly wait to see all of my friends!

And I was there. I remember Lee for the first part of the year. We had not voted on the "Spartans" as the name for the school teams yet. They took a poll and we voted. Other names were "Squires", "Pirates" and (I think) "Tigers". "Spartans" won in a LANDSLIDE! Also, we started in January and it was COLD! Some parts of the school (inside) were shielded from the outside by tarps and plastic sheeting. It was a great experience. I moved after that year across town (to Hayfield Farms) and spent my last three years of HS at Edison. I felt like an alum of Lee, WS and Edison! Love Fairfax county schools!
