Secrets Moxche | Review

It was fun to watch your trip here. I visited Moxche in September and it is my favorite All-Inclusive resort I have ever been too (followed by Akumal, Maroma, and then Cap Cana in that order). The variety of pools at this resort are amazing. Yes, the main pool has too much tanning ledge. The food, the decor, the music everywhere, the entertainment and the team/staff was top notch. I cannot wait to go back.

Question, if you're on a prefered club room do you have access to ALL the pools? On the ariel video view of the resort I see so many pools and I'm wondering if their all available when booking preferred. I see there's a building on the right side with another rooftop pool in front of the beach with another ground level pool, are those available to preferred members?

Going to lunch at different restaurants were there dress codes? I’ve heard about guys having to wear pants and closed toed shoes to certain restaurants if dining inside and not on the patio areas but I’m wondering if just wearing shorts and t shirt throughout the day would work during lunch hours?

First, Love your videos. So much insight. Between all the Secrets in Cancun, Mexico (Moxche, Maroma Beach and Akumal) and Atelier Playa Mujeres which would you say are your top 2? Thank you! It’s semi comparable, it’s hard to say which is better for your group without knowing you. I’d see which your travel agent thinks is the best fit for you. Atelier has a better beach, and while food is subjective, I also found it better there. Moxche had better pools and more entertainment. Moxche typically prices out much higher, which can be challenging depending on the guests’ budget. Two good choices! Have fun

We are UVC members and have been to many Secrets, Dreams, Breathless and Nows. Was at the Vine 2 weeks ago. Planning another trip to Cancun in beginning of 2023 to celebrate my 60th birthday with hubby, brother and sis-in-law. Looking for a beautiful beach (prefer aquamarine waters and beach over pools), activities, and a fun night life. (We are late night folks!) What is your pick for us in the UVC category? We were considering Maroma or Moxche. Any other suggestions out of the UVC resorts? Thanks so much!

Since they do not use arm bands - how do they know who is Preferred and who is not? Do they question non-preferred if they wanted to simply go see the rooftop pool and scenery?

You need a room key to get to the rooftop. The elevator won’t take you there without it., and once up they ask for your room number

This isn’t an easy question, because it depends what you’re comparing against. How I pick my favorites kinda depends on what I’m after. Do I want a beach vacay, a relaxing weekend, a more energetic time? How much do I want to spend? Overall I’d rank it somewhere in the middle. It’s not my favorite and it’s definitely not the worst. I’m sure that doesn’t help, but I actually try to not compare resorts too much, because they all offer different options/benefits. It’s a very nice resort! I see so many, so they can’t all be my favorite 😊

Really enjoyed your whole Moxche series, very informative and fun. As always, a couple of questions, if you would be so kind ...Is the lagoon pool really surrounded by sand? Is that a P. Star Martini you are drinking, it looks delish - I never see P Star Martinis on drinks menus in AI and not available on request in places we have been and lastly ... is it true what I read on Tripadvisor that sometimes you can get a cheaper upgrade to Preferred Club if you upgrade on check in rather than in advance should it be available. Thanks so much, can't wait to see where you both go next!

Yes to sand. The martini is a drink I made up years ago at a Christmas party - therefore I call it Christmas Punch. You can upgrade for a discount if something’s available at check in, but I recommend booking what you want initially, as the resorts do sell out 😊

We had stayed at the Iberostar Grand a few months prior and at least they made the effort to put on a show albeit with distancing every night!
