This approach has serious pros n cons especially if parents are not deendaar coz duniyadaar psychology is different . Bcoz self made ppl have self destruction button as well (thats why narcissicm is at rise in west) which get pushed if they dont return to deen. Boys have tough time to understand it coz of their job n after married life. Best way is make chart of their past but base your behavior with them on Deen pedestal n especially dua unfortunately males are much poor in dua and when parents do injustice to their daughters you are never sure what they will do especially if basis of family is not deen if deen is not in foundation chances of destruction n chaos higher, its a double effort on part of kids but worth trying .As a muslim we have to do it try ur best n leave the rest on ALLAH
