Great video….thanks…I have Juki industrial 9000c and always had Juki industrials and I love them, but there is zero support on this new one, and I have had to figure out the translated Manual…😳. I have finally done it but it’s been a job. Now I need a stretch stitch and travel machine ..this machine or the Juki Dx you taught about is what I am considering now I am not familiar with portable machines… You remind so much of my now adult daughters third grade teacher…we just loved him. You re a great teacher. Thanks for the info. ☺️

Hello Helen. Thank you sew much for your feedback. This video is a recording of my Janome HQ Instagram Live presentation, so the screen is indeed tall and skinny as Instagram does not let me rotate the camera. I upload the presentation to the Janome HQ You Tube channel as not everyone has Instagram, so I hope they'll overlook the narrow screen and focus on what I say, and try to show, as well. What are the differences/compared to the MC 9900… what features does this have that the 9900 doesn’t? What does the 9900 have that this doesn’t? Thanking you in advance.

HI Lisa, a good way to check the differences between machines is by looking in the manuals, which are available online on the Janome.CA or Janome.Com websites. The machines are basically the same, but the 9900 came with a few more accessories, like a cloth guide, buttonhole foot stabilizer plate and two interchangeable faceplates. The cloth guide and buttonhole stabilizer plate are optional accessories are available for the 9850. Thank you for sharing the Janome love!

I have the MC9900 and it looks the same. It is a FANTASTIC machine but it's an older model. I highly recommend

Is there a Knee Lift, I don’t see the hole? Does it have the same number of designs, I’m looking to get one because of the price point, but wish to know all the differences. Thank you.

HI Lisa, no, there is not a knee-lifter for the MC9850. I believe the number of designs are the same. The MC9850SE has improved threading and comes with an extra hoop, booth of which the MC9900 does not. You can download the Instruction Manual of each machine on Janome.CA to compare the differences of each machine, but they are more similar than different. Perhaps you can arrange a test drive at a Janome Dealer near you. Happy Sewing!
