Can anyone really define what the Moog sound is? Even my lowly MG-1 has a sweetness that my other analogs don't quite. The others are far from "bad", just different. The Moogs have something special.... And this shows it off brilliantly. I'd love to hear "MM vs. Prophet".

In addition to the dedicated LFO, the Memorymoog has a voice modulation section that allows you to apply the filter envelope to Osc 3 pitch and use that that to modulate either Osc 1 or Osc 2 frequency or pulse width (or any or all of the above), as well as filter cutoff. Along with sample & hold, you end up getting even more varied FM sounds than a minimoog is capable of. With all of that and being polyphonic, the Memorymoog can produce some rather…unexpected…sounds for a Moog.

Moog no longer makes musical instruments, just toys, and an astronomically priced boast of a good Moog One. Show a studio or stage where this noise machine (Matriarch, Grandmother, Grandfather, etc.) is used by a musician. Games - for teenagers. Where is Model D? Where is Voyager? A Memorymoog? Where are the real instruments? 25-key fun nonsense and wired Matchboxes... Congratulations! RIP Moog... Make a welding transformer and a telephone exchange - that's an even better deal.
