The whole episode did a good job thematically of telling a story of how the Elite are being pushed beyond anything they've ever known or expected by this incredible venture and that it's testing their friendships. The opening dig at twitter is very valid, especially the dismissal of Matt that he just needs a break before going back to being insanely toxic. Like, whether he's on twitter or not, he's aware of the myriad criticisms. It's his job to be aware of valid criticism so he can improve his product. But the meaningless deluge of negativity is unnecessary when they are doing so much good. I love AEW. I love what it represents, I love that this is providing work for people who deserve it, and I love that I get to see this amazing product on tv. And I love NXT, too, and I think it's crazy that fans get as polarized as they do.

Seriously, why can't some people just watch two equally amazing wrestling shows without taking sides?
@paulbbryan5 жыл бұрын
@@e.y.d.6079 The community has been pretty negative for a long time because the mainstream decided that there wasn't enough money in catering just to them. And we live in an incredibly tribal time. People are quick to let judge anything seen as an "other," especially in the US. I think mainstream wrestling fans just like the idea of a wrestling war and like that they're on a "team" and that means being rude to AEW fans on twitter or whatever. I also think that mainstream wrestling fans don't want to be lumped in with the "toxic wrestling community," and just want to distance themselves. I think people just need to calm down and watch wrestling on Wednesdays and tweet about the awesome wrestling they're watching. Frankly, with Luke Harper's non-compete up in February, Matt Hardy's contract up March, and the Revival's contract in April, I'm just really excited to see what happens in 2020. Marty Scurll going to ROH just makes the game all the more interesting. @@netcracker1107 the timing is interesting it was posted around the end of the impact PPV. With anthem treating their family well even if he is leaving she likely would want to protect the company's current interest. She has also been the face of their twitch broadcasts. But we have not seen the fruits of any contract yet or some true confirmation so for me I just find it best to just enjoy the ride.

I appreciate them using this platform to further storylines. That being said, not all AEW fans watch the KZbin content or are even aware that storyline stuff is happening here, so those fans are missing stuff that they don't even know they're missing. And then when stuff happens on Dynamite, a bunch of fans are left scratching their heads wondering why something just happened, when the answer is here on KZbin and they don't even know it. TL;DR you can't rely on the fans watching KZbin content to keep up with storylines when many fans don't even know about it.

ROH probably gave Marty 49% of ROH and a Ford GT too.

love that shot where Adam Page walks to the sink, grabs that thing and sprays in his mouth (and how he held it had us believing it was a typical mouth freshener) then he coughs and spits as the camera pulls away revealing it was a body spray lmfao

who was the cameraman if cutler was gone all episode?!?!?!?

Elvis and aliens? Is this BTE or the National Enquirer? Great episode. Hangman and Valiant was quite possibly the most touching moment of the entire series so far (even more so than Cutler signing or Knox getting the ref job) and OC and Statlander were amazing. Proof that you don't need a mic in your hand to tell a story or to get over. Please keep BTE going, because it's such a great way to keep that relationship with your fans going!
