Imagine a person being loyal to anything for 39 years. It’s unheard of. This is the reason people don’t have loyalty to companies anymore. If anything he should have been an executive by that time but experience and loyalty is never rewarded when it comes to older Black people. I’m happy for him. I hope the person that made the decision he was no longer good enough rest in piss.

You have no idea what kind of worker he is, it makes zero sense to take his side without even knowing. The only reason you are is because he's black.

@@smallgoon If they haven’t fired you in 39 years you have been exceptional and if you don’t believe it that doesn’t matter because the courts did. That company I’m sure had better lawyers, time keeping, records and performance reviews and with all of that he still won. Let that sink in. I know most Black men are dysfunctional but ANYONE who holds you or a company down for almost 40 years is special.

@@brownbarrett6842 I worked at UPS for nearly a decade in Chicago (hodgekins), and have done a ton of work in factories since then programming and I work with a lot of workers currently . It is such a mixed bag honestly it just totally depends on the person and their work ethic. I've worked with black, white, Mexican, man woman old young etc that were amazing workers and the same that were complete shit. I've worked with people that have been there for 30+ years, and honestly, if they haven't moved up to management by then, theres a decent chance they have a shitty work ethic. Now not all, some just prefer to not manage and deal with that pressure, but there are some for sure. Now, I'm not saying this guy either way is a great worker or not a great worker, what I can say is that most of the people that I've seen that complained to HR about racism, sexism, etc etc were the worst workers. Because even the decent ones would not get fired or even reprimanded. So, you know, I would have to reserve judgement before I said this man got the $$ he deserved and was unjustly fired or some lawyer saw an opportunity and they both made a shitload of money. I apologize for writing a book here.

He seems like an amazing person. Why fire what seems like a great guy after all of those years of employment? He deserves every penny of that and I hope he gains his trust for humanity again. Money is nice but faith is more powerful.

I have cerebral palsy and I am of mixed race. I filed a fair housing complaint through HUD against my current apartment complex and won. 6 and a half months later now I face potential homelessness as of the 7th of October 2024. I have a lot of proof against my apartments in ways that I have been treated differently and bullied. It got to the point where I had to involve HUD to get the issue resolved. Even when I got them involved certain issues kept happening. And they were not enforcing part of the agreement that we had come to. It all started with me having issues with another tenant that the apartments did not want to deal with. That put me in a position to have to speak up for myself to my apartment complex but for whatever reason they sided with this other tenant who didn't even have proof of the accusations that were Made against me. That's what led me to file HUD complaint. Now I'm facing retaliation by the potential of losing the roof over my head. I only have SSDI income and I don't qualify for the low cost legal aid but I know I need some sort of representation for myself. I need my story to be heard and I want justice for my situation and everything I have gone through.

Easy. A Black person can get hired at a job, and their supervisor, co workers, HR, etc can be VERY racist. They make life miserable at the job usually in efforts to get the Black person to quit so they won't have to pay benefits. That enough sense for you?
