This whole album is just amazing. Idk about anyone else but as a christian i feel every single word speaking to my soul and if it wasn't the intention behind it i still thank God for it.

I honestly don't care what all these haters think, this album is truly amazing, The Challenger was amazing, all of their albums are truly touching and amazing. I have been waiting for this album and I am not even slightly disappointed, they still have their heavy music and touching and wise lyrics. Even the softer songs are wonderful. Just enjoy the music, and if you don't like this album, just enjoy the ones you do. Music is supposed to bring people together, not make everyone fight, and Memphis May Fire's music is really great and bringing people together, just focus on the songs you like and act as if the ones you don't, don't even exist. Fans are family, not enemies.

The lyrics speak for themselves, I'm really diggin this album there's alot of meaning hear, I can understand and relate to certain songs so far this album has made me realize that we need to seriously help others around the world and help people to get out of poverty. I heard in this song about how Matty says: We have the ability to change the world. basically meaning we need to make this world a better place of course. I couldn't agree more than from hearing the lyrics more he brings up poverty and children, and the homeless people worrying about where they will lay their heads at for the night or day to rest. Than the children I'm hearing about is malnourished. I feel that this album touches alot of things and portrays different meanings towards alot of people. I am christian but I'm not very religious I'm more spiritual than anything. I feel supporting and helping others and showing compassion is a good thing. I don't understand how people couldn't like this album, so their involving religion and god into their music people need faith and something to believe in. that is all.

Id give this album 9/10 stars simply because this band matured and didnt go outside the box and become "a new band." No one bitches at ADTR for keeping their sound do they? Just accept this band for what it is and not what you want it to be, cuz after all, they write for themselves, not you.

One thing they have done with this album (I'm only 5 tracks in so I may be wrong) but they're breakdowns are a lot better than before. Not that it's not good so far, but it's the only true bright spot I've seen that has anything on the other albums thus far. Like the one at 3:00 ... So sick, very original too, especially Jakes fill on the way out.

How the hell is this song about God? This song is about poverty and starving children. He's saying it's up to us (America) to actually do something about it. And saying we'd have a lot more accomplished if we actually got together and did something about all the world problems. The only close thing talking about God is "Day by day they continue to die, so we think our prayers go unheard" meaning people are praying for them instead of doing something. and as an atheist I love the songs Matty writes no matter what, god or no god he is still one of my greatest teachers of all. I've learned so much from this band and even in his songs about God still have a message and meaning in it that I catch. Stop bitching about this album because I think it takes the cake from "The Hollow"
@RynoSmithers10 жыл бұрын
I think he's saying it's up to us (you and me as individuals, as people) not nations...
@RynoSmithers10 жыл бұрын
***** not talking about "nations". So America is the only one who can save people who are starving? Pretty sure people in other countries would disagree with you and I'm also pretty sure there are people in those "starving nations" who are not starving and are doing just fine who don't think their nation needs "saving". The point in this is that everyone in America and around the world is sadly quick to say "oh wow, that's horrible that those people are starving!!! I sure hope our politicians (or someone else!) does something about it because that's messed up!" instead, Matty is saying it's up to us!!!! We have to stop saying "someone else will help those people". There are many ways and outlets for you and me to actually make a difference in people's lives who are in poverty. I'm not trying to sound like I'm coming down on you at all. Sorry if it comes across that way. Check out Worldvision.org or Compassion.com

@SchuStud10 жыл бұрын
The mixing is kind of shitty. I hear Matty over the guitars by a detrimental amountand even the drums over power the guitars. The chugs are the only thing I can determine what the guitars are actually doing. Its almost as if they made Matty and Jake the stars of thr band and tuned everyone else out a little bit. Even in Challenger I could hear every chord progression and note they were hitting. I like the album I just think it could've been mixed better and that may be why you dont like it
@Captain_Gum10 жыл бұрын
Ryan Schumacher actually it would be mostly Matty cause Matty does the majority of the drumming on the albums. He gives Jakes pointers when needed. Even said it on the video of them working on Unconditional.

I'm not hating. Believe me, I love a lot of Memphis May Fire, especially Challenger. But to me, it doesn't sound like they ever change their sound up, almost like every song is a complete copy( kind of like Asking Alexandria's 'Stand up and Scream' album). I just see no significance difference in their songs. I get that this is their formula, but some change helps provide interest to a song.

I mean, I personally love Sleepwalking (A LOT) but I think if a band wants to stay interesting they need to evolve their sound and lyrics. There honestly isn't a song by MMF that I don't like. If you want to listen to something that sounds like Sleepwalking, The Hollow, or Challenger than listen to Sleepwalking, The Hollow, or Challenger like I do.
@JspauInc8 жыл бұрын
+Matt Hill I wasn't a big fan of Sleepwalking but I love the Between The Lies EP, The Hollow, and Challenger. Best 3 albums they've released in my opinion. Hopefully what they release next will have something similar to their older stuff. But I doubt it, probably going to be similar to Stay The Course. But yeah, their older stuff isn't going anywhere lol. Still amazing! :D
