I have this same batwing, If you want to push it forward some, so you don't have to angle your bars back so hard, what you can do is take it off, take the bracket off of the fairing part, and stick some washers on the top bolts which will rock it forward a few degrees. It makes a huge difference and you can angle the bars more to your liking after. Funny, I saw in the comments the clamps you used for the turn signals too, I also had those same clamps on my bike, but I used them to mount some small bullet style handlebar speakers to it so they were down on the forks and hidden behind the fairing and man they sounded great like that and were also completely hidden. Sweet ride, ride safe bro

Nice review of the batwing, i've got one for my 21 bob, but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Im curious as to the difference the side deflectors made with buffeting, although i swapped out my mini apes for some breakout drag bars, the batwing shout help keep my hands from getting to cold when i ride.

Nice 👍 , actually I put 14 if I would have left the stock 12 it would have helped with blocking the wind on my hands but 14 doesn’t do much with clocking wind on your hands so depends on how tall they are you can always get Memphis shade hand guard to help I do have the side deflection that go side of the bat wing which help with the wind come from straight ahead tho hope this helps

@@Bobstreet22what would think about lowering the handle bars down behind the faring itself . I’m pondering doing that with mine but I want my grips behind the fairing whatcha think
@Bobstreet22 Жыл бұрын
@@matrix1171 I actually was thinking about doing that take full advantage of the batwing with rocks bugs and on cold days the wind so overall I think it’s a great idea and honestly probably will look better

They make a headlight extension kit that will push the bucket forward in the fairing so it is more flush with the opening too.

whats the height of the windshield?

Not sure I’m 5,10 and it was not an issue at all

I had 12 in bars and you can see it went right at the bars

Thanks for the review. I was thinking does that batwing has any adjustments( tilt forward / will it affect headlight visibility)
@Bobstreet22 Жыл бұрын
Yes it does not much but I tilted mine back due to buffering, I’ll take some measurements and let you know exactly how much movement , the adjustment are on the mounting hardware on forks so any fairing can be adjusted as far as headlight visibility I haven’t had any issues seems not to effect it much
@Bobstreet22 Жыл бұрын
Measured from top windshield 9 and I had 1 1/2 inch total to play with all the way forward to all back

This is the first non-touring HD that I've seen where the Batwing looks pretty good. The saddlebags really help make it look right. The extra deflectors gotta go though.

Where'd you get the stuff to relocate the turn signals? I really think I'm going to do this fairing. Not a huge fan of the road warrior
