Quite possibly the last attempt to block wind on my Harley Davidson Sport Glide. In this video I road test the Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing with instant results. Watch the video and see for yourself if it was a success.

I too gave up on finding a windscreen that worked, I rode without the fairing at all I just sold my sport glide to try something different, I got a full faired sport tourer, I'm getting less wind than a naked bike but I am getting a comfortable amount and it is not turbulent at all Which reinforces what I learned early on that buffeting is caused by the air coming up from your legs and the only way to truly stop buffeting is a lower fairing

hi there. Best I have found is the HD 5" screen, with a cheap wind deflector from Ebay piggy backed on top. i do a lot of Motorway riding. Took it off and went back to the original small screen and I though my arms were coming off.

I agree it’s the impossible dream. I have a Slim, tried the HD tombstone….ok till I put on the Saddleman seat that raises me up and is unridable. So I’ve tried WindVest with various screens, probably the best compromise but as you suggest nothing comes close to no fairing for comfort. The tombstone causes wind from below to billow up, the WindVest causes it to come over the top. I continue to try and find a compromise I can live with. Thanks for the video, the Memphis Shades was one solution I’d looked at.

I watched this vid the other day on my TV so didn't comment cause I couldn't obviously lol - but I've been meaning to. I think the answer to your quest for more wind protection would probably be fixed with something like a Memphis Shades "Memphis Fats" shield... They are wider and if you could get up to your nose level it may well do the trick. The sacrifice would be the character of the bike... it'd end up looking like something from CHiPs... so if you get one I'll call you Ponch mate! lol Sorry that Road Warrior didn't do the trick. I've been holding fire on mine and have been content to cop the wind... I don't really like Road Kings, Street Glides and Road Glides etc etc - they are too big for my tastes and my build ie. 71kg 5'7"... I'll stick with the Sport Glide - lighter and more appropriate for me by approximately the weight of one pillion passenger!

You need to adjust it to suit you. Using someone else's isn't necessarily porous of whether they work or not. I have the batwing from memphis shades and had terrible buffering until I changed the screen angle. I'm 180cm tall with a9 inch screen.

Ive totally given up on the idea of ever finding a fairing/windscreen that will work for my SG. My fairing has become a permanent wall ornament!

Same, being 6ft 3 don't help either... modern helmets seem to do a great job of filtering wind cleanly around your head.

I like the stock fairing, its low enough to knock the wind off your chest, but no air spills on your helmet. any tall screen on it makes it unbearable.

@@RidesForDays yep, if you go up from there, you need to go down and out as well (lowers etc) so as to increase the air pocket all over and collapaing air which you experienced on this test. Any brand, any bike style is the same.
