Any one else have black screen for over a minute? That is a really dark interior for a Bass Pro. The one in OKC is not that dark. I hope we can visit it some day. My husband used to live next to Graceland over 50 yrs ago. They used to play ball in back part of Graceland. There used to be an amusement part in West Memphis AR. Lake City are has great watermelons.

Glad you got up and left the eating establishment there. More people need to walk out when they are made unwelcome. Then these places will start correcting their employees. They need us, we do not need them. And there is no need to get angry. Just be courteous and walk out.

One thing I learned to keep things in place is to either glue magnets to each surface or use Velcro. In the military we used so much Velcro it was insane. I bet there was a mile of Velcro inside the aircraft.

After traveling for 20 years, we have a routine when going to a new restaurant. Check the washrooms. If they don't take care of their washrooms, they don't take care of their kitchen. Plus if you get a bad vibe, run. Those two things work every time. Enjoying the adventure so far, hope you are too.

The history of that pyramid is interesting. We lived in a suburb of Memphis for 14 years. There was once an exhibit about the Titanic in the pyramid. It was one of the best I had ever seen. There was one part that was so well done, you could feel and see what the passengers of the Titanic likely saw and possibly what they might have felt. The pyramid was empty for years, until the Bass Pro Shop deal was finalized.

I don’t blame you on the height fear, I’m a retired AF Vet and former aircrew and I get weak-kneed on a stepladder. I’ll go up in a plane all day long no problem but I don’t like being on ladders or at heights where I have to be near the edge. I’ll do it but I do not like it. I really like the interior setup in your RV with the cabin theme-really looks homey and comfortable. Good work Abby.

Too bad you did not push on a hour to jonesboro. The city parks and recreation department has a great first come first serve lakeside RV park. It’s interesting what you said about being dark. We tried to go to several bbq places that were highly rated and didn’t even feel safe getting out of the car. My jaw hit the floor when my husband didn’t even want to visit the pyramid. He got the same dark feeling from the whole city. And he is a big fan of all things sporting goods. For him to just drive by and not even go says a lot! I agree it’s a gut feeling. Something ain’t right in that city.
