In 2015, I went to a bar with a friend and a girl told us if we wanted to go to her table with her friends and said yes. We were drinking beers and they said "we should get some bottles" and we said "yeah, but I'm good with the beer" (I was drinking heavily prior to the bar) and later on they said her ''friend'' was not feeling good and we told them that it is alright and that we will just pay for our beers. Moments later the friend miraculously got better and said that we had to pay for the bottles because we "agreed" to. In a split of a second my friend and I made eye contact meaning they are trying to set us up and told the waiter that we are only paying for our beers in case they run away and the latter understood the situation. This was in less than a minute and told the broads that we are just going to the restroom. By the time we got out of the restroom the broads were screaming at the waiter and came up to us demanding we pay their share. We just sat at in front of the bartender and told him "two whiskys for my friend and I, I pay". It was glorious. The broads litteraly had to call a friend to help them pay their bill.

When I was younger, I used to often go out with a very close female friend. She'd often bring her friends who I didn't know very well. I remember one time, this very average looking friend thought she could just tell me to buy her drinks and I would. This woman was an absolute drop kick, was dumb AF and was broke all the time. I kept telling her that I was not going to buy her any drinks and she can buy her own. Every time I returned from the bar with my own drink, she got angrier and angrier. After a few times, she blew up calling me all sorts, calling me a pathetic man etc etc because I wouldn't buy her any drinks. It astounded me the level of entitlement this woman (and lots of other women) have, that they would demand that a guy they don't like or respect, let alone hook up with, funds their night out and if they don't, they get to shame and emasculate them. One of the things I've gotten sick of the last few years is constantly being lectured about how men are the only bad people and women are always innocent victims. You guys are 100% right in saying it’s predatory. I buy my own drinks mostly but of course I’m not saying no to getting one offered. Other girls I know, don’t even plan on spending money when they go out. They go out with the intention to find “desperate guys” that will buy them drinks all night and then move on to the next dude every time. I think it’s disgusting. They intentionally flirt and dress provocative to get the drink and then say they are going to the bathroom and never coming back. It’s pathetic..

28yr old Female here and I know I’m late to this video. But I wanna say.. 1.) I hope these ladies are staying safe because it seems like they may have a very careless approach to accepting these drinks (that’s me just assuming, I know). “Back in my day” (cause I’m married), you would never catch me casually accept drinks from guys. There’s only been three times when I have let random guys buy my drinks. Two of those times, I was interested in the guy. The last time, I didn’t even know, they just paid my bar tab. 2.) If I wasn’t interested in a guy, I would not accept his drink. I also had the bar tender hand me the drink directly. 3.) I guess I’m in the group of girls who don’t think guys who buy drinks for girls are desperate. I think there are a bunch of honest and quality guys/men out there just trying to make a connection. So this advice is for you guys.. Save your money, dudes. Don’t be out here buying these girls a $10-$20 drink just cause she has a nice body and gives you “the eyes”. Tbh, if a guy came up to me at a bookstore and either 1.) asked me for a book recommendation or 2.) maybe offered to buy me a book and/or a coffee.. THAT would be such a greater statement than a guy buying me a drink. Maybe you guys should skip the bars and hit up the libraries/Barnes&Nobles. 👍🏻

They are good for business you say? It's almost as if that's the whole reason they get in for free 🤔. That being said I've never been a fan of the club scene or the strip club scene or any scene where men are encouraged to pay women for basically nothing. Just never made sense to me to give my money to somebody for nothing in return. I have to wake up every morning and work hours off my life for that money, you could literally be a homeless woman and still have the vagina that men want. It's an infinite resource that never runs out and costs nothing to maintain. your vagina lasts forever so u never have to earn a new one and u got it for free yet you still won't share it with us. So the way I see it, why should we share our hard earned, limited, exhaustible resource when they're so stingy with their infinite resource? It seems to me that we should be the ones who are more stingy since our resource is more valuable and harder to come by.

One thing that I don't think is addressed enough in these situations is mental health. I've met plenty of guys like this and after a lot of thinking, I realize they need help. Y'all are right. There's a power dynamic. And it's towards the fractured mental health of men that just might not know any better, and aren't fostered in society to learn. This is why the pick up artist community exists. Nobody wants to help these people get better. They're shamed for being bad at something they were probably never taught or encouraged to do. The act of purchasing things for strangers, just for the hope of a positive interaction, has horrifying psychological implications. Using Only Fans as an example, do you think men purchasing used bath water and fart jars of strangers on the internet are stable mentally? Just examine that for a second. These guys need help, and instead, we shame them. We do so maliciously for our own amusement. I've been guilty of doing it too. We invite them to be ridiculed for spending money when they lack the tools needed to navigate socially. After watching this it's clear. We deserved Andrew Tate. I hate the guy, but he's a problem we created. And banning him was society rage quitting after losing so many matches.

Not the same scenario but applicable nonetheless. I was in love with a close friend (already messed up there) who was in this 'on-again-off-again' relationship. She knew how I felt about her and even asked me to tell her how I felt because it hits different hearing it from a guy that loves her, as opposed to friends or family members. I was her confidant, counselor, shoulder to cry on. I was on the phone with her listening to her talk for hours about life, how she wished her boyfriend or whatever was just like me. I was her 'yes man' and often 'lent' her money not even expecting it to be paid back, and in the times she did pay it back I would get her a gift. I was and still am by no means a rich man, and I put myself in a bad position a few times because I would put her first. In the end, she was emotionally unavailable to me and yet I was practically her emotional boyfriend. Now, I'm with a woman that feels like she's struck the lottery by virtue of just knowing me. I plan to propose to her soon and I've got to say, I couldn't have made a better decision than to let that simping relationship go. And this wasn't a year of simping, this was nearing 7yrs before I told myself "I'm no one's consolation prize. Either they want me as number one or they don't." Changed my life. Fellas, I know this might be a way for some sort of interaction between yourself and a woman, but if they say they're not interested or some variant, keep it pushing; no need to throw your money away by providing a momentary build up. Forgive my language, but it's akin to a ruined ejaculation; getting all worked up but when it comes to finally getting that release, you don't get it. But if that's your thing, go for it. If y'all made it this far, hopefully someone learns from my mistakes.

The guy bought you a drink and you can't even give him a conversation? It blew my mind at 19 that these girls just view these guys at the bar as a means to an end not even having the decency to talk to them or just tell them they aren't interested. The same logic can be applied to guys taking women out on these extravagant and expensive dates. A lot of them just wanna go out and have free food but have no real interest in the guy. But that also made me realize that most of these women don't require the guy they want to buy them food or drinks and that's why you should never simp.

Young grasshopper, I don't think you grasped the complete lesson here. Understand: physical attraction is not equivalent to actual attraction. A woman can be physically attracted to a man, regardless of whether or not he buys her things. But for most women, their attraction to you can not be bought - that typically comes through conversation and showing genuine interest in another person's humanity. The drink or first meal is supposed to be an opening to help you get to know her. The men frustrated that women just take the drink and go usually lack the social skills to close the deal. Moral of the story: learn HOW to communicate with the opposite gender.

Keep in mind, she had a boyfriend at the time, I'd met the dude, and despite being a dorky loser at the time I knew better. The look on her face when I told her no was priceless. Alright, story time: I once went to a bar/club and approached a girl who I found attractive and that looked vaguely familiar (possibly seen her on college campus). I opened up with a compliment of her tattoo. We started conversing and she happened to get her work done by the same artist. Shortly after my opener her friend leans in and starts talking to her, I couldn't hear what was being said. Her friend then decides to interject, "It's her birthday, you should buy her a drink." I was shocked on how naive she thought I was. I stood there in silence for a brief moment and simply walked away from them to the bar. Know when to walk away gents 🍻.

Usually stood by the bar so I wouldn't have to walk back and forth to buy drinks, since all I did really was nurse a couple beers until my friends wanted to go. A number of times some girls would ask me to buy them a drink. I figured it was because I was sitting alone by the bar. The first few times, I just politely told them no. The first couple times, they all got kinda rude when I turned them down, or they would try to convince me like your situation above. I told one of them I'm just not interested, and she called me an ugly virgin and said she wasn't interested either. After that, any time a girl would ask me to buy her a drink at the bar, I would raise an eyebrow and purposely look down at her tits, then lean back and take a look at her ass, then return eye contact and say, 'Nah, I'm good'.

After a few minutes, we switched so that he did not seem as interested in his target. After a few minutes, the girl looked at me and said, "You know, I could use a drink." My friend stopped and looked at me because he knew what was about to happen. Me: You are holding a beer bottle. Take a drink. Girl: No. I mean, I could use a cocktail. Me: Why did you buy a beer if you wanted a cocktail? Girl: My cousin got it for me. Me: Why didn't you ask for a cocktail then? Girl: Because she doesn't have much money and felt bad asking for one. Me: But you okay asking a stranger for a drink? I am more insulted that you lied to your cousin when she was trying to do something nice for you. Girl: I want a cocktail Me: Sure. You get this round; I get next. We did not see her again; my buddy was laughing his ass off. In high school I had a guy who I was highly attracted to buy me a drink almost every single day. He was from another school but we were both in the same advanced art program at another school. He asked me about my favorite flavors one day, and from then on would just give me a sealed pop from the machine, like, "hey, I got your drink", and I would take it, and thank him, and he'd just...either talk to me for a few minutes, or smile back and walk away. I'd offer to return the favor, but he'd never accept, because he'd have already bought his, and he'd still ask me if I wanted one, or a water, or a juice, or anything else. It never went anywhere but easily could have. I guess he was just being nice? As an adult woman, not much has changed. You are not buying me drinks, not even a coffee, if I don't like you. I won't accept anything if I'm not into you, unless we agree that I can pay you back, because there are usually intentions behind the gesture. Compare that to my friend who wouldn't say no to anything... shoes, concert tickets, food, drinks, anything you wanted to give her, she would receive with open palms. Some men are quite pushy about wanting to buy you one and some get offended if you won’t let them which hardly ever gets mentioned on these things! When I was younger and single and a lot prettier, some of my cousins and their friends would take me to the club with them because they knew I would usually end up with free drinks. They would pay my cover charge and when it was time for drinks, they'd give me their money and their drink orders and send me to the bar. 9 times out of 10 when I would give the bar tender the order, there would be a guy asking if he could pay for my drinks. I would say "I'm not going to sit with you, I'm not going to dance with you, I'm not going home with you, I'm not coming back over here to chat with you. I am not doing ANYTHING for or with you. Do you still want to pay?" Most of the time when I would say that, these men would still whip out their wallets and pay for the drinks or tell the bar tender to add it to their tab. The first few times I was like "Haha, free drinks", because I didn't have a lot of money and liked saving my little bit of "fun money" for other stuff. Then I realized doing that made me a trash person, because these dudes are obviously lonely and desperate for female attention. Out of politeness, because I know what it's like to have no income. What ended the friendship was that she'd fly to her friends in Poland and buy them gifts. Mind you, she told me she was crying she forgot my birthday last year. So, yeah, that was it. The end :)

@@MusMasi True, My point is also that the comments dont point out that its very easy for a guy to buy a girl a drink... when hes already intoxicated and his judgement is impaired. Of course buying a girl a drink is stupid... but when did drunk people do anything smart (especially guys)? Now, its obvious in the comments many guys can handle their liquor better and say "no" when a girl approaches them for a drink. Still, with people like myself... the best way to handle these situations is to empty your wallet and make your money inaccessible before you step your foot in the venue.

For me who is way passed my clubbing days, offering a woman who I don't know to buy her a drink in a club feels like I'm just throwing my wallet at her and feel shocked she takes money out of it and walks away. Either strike up a convo and if she seems into you then its more natural than just throwing money out and expect something in return. When the girl said Men buy her drinks even though she tells them she's not interested and they still do it, it's crazy but true. Quick story time, back in the day, before I was married. I was out with my sister and a group of friends. One was a very good friend of mine and she came with her husband one night we were going out club hopping. We we're at the bar when this man approached us he was trying to buy a our drink's and get to know us. I said no thanks, I was not interested, and so did my friend, but the man insisted it was a friendly gesture. I rolled my eyes and tapped her shoulder and we began to order our drinks well what do you know this guy tells the bartender to put it on his tab. We looked at each other puzzled and looked at him and said we did not need you to do that sir that's we don't want you to do that we have a huge group with us, but sadly he brushed it off once again like it was a kind gesture with him already buying the drinks they were delivered to our table and we quickly started to walk back to our table with her with everyone. Now her hubby was watching the whole situation and I didn't notice what he had came up and was standing on the other side of the wall so we didn't see him but he was there the whole time watching the situation unfold and he happened to return back to the seat before we got back so he knew the situation and what happened and told everyone at the table. With that the man noticed and when his own way and we thought it was the end of it right well the story gets even more crazy, because when the club was closing and we began to leave we always like to stop at a place and get some sandwiches usually Subway, and coffee before heading home. Get this when we were almost at our destination the man happened to be there as well. As soon as we walk through the door his face lit up like a little light bulb or maybe a puppy dog I don't know but it came to my attention that he was literally infatuated with my friend that happened to be married and her husband happened to be with us at the time. Now her husband is a Marine and let's just say when we said that we were just going to leave and go somewhere else he was like hell no so he sat down at the table we all sat around and he just stared at this dude. Me and my sister got up to order and then that's when the man got up as well the whole time best friends hubby watching him get this he leans over and gives his card to the cashier and pays for all our food! 😱😱 at this point I was pretty tipsy and so is my sister the only one that wasn't of course was besties hubby he was the designated driver and pretty much babysitter of six grown ass Women🤦🏾 but we were young 🤷🏽. After we got our we ate our food and left... when we were driving home I asked her husband why did that man do what he did and why did he let him do it? All he said was, if you insist to be a fool, I'll let you... and I guess in the end the man knew he wasn't going to be with my friend but yet he did all those crazy things makes no sense and I had to leave out a lot because it would be way too long but just basically got to the point. The head down under can make you do crazy 💩
