My opinion is this, a few years ago there were a lot of channels promoting Hypergamy. A lot of black women took that term run with it like it was the last Gucci bag on the shelf. They took it to the extreme! But the men are not that innocent either , they were trolling and saying that they rather have a white or exotical women because those were less demanding and more supporting etc. But what happened at one point those women also started having more requirements for the black men. Not only that a men is desirable when other women want him too, but when the black women checked out the exoticals and white women needed to compete against each other, so i guess they didn't want to do so. Now if you as a men didn't take this time to level up it's on you, black women want to come back because the Hypergamy thing didn't work out, but they set the bar so high that lowering it feels like a defeat. So there is a lot of work to be done on both sides. You should want the best for yourself regardless. But keep a realistic goal, too much of something is not always the best! Like all other movements here on KZbin, the Hypergamy movement also died of natural causes 😅
