Only the scenario if you dont do your due dilligence. Not every man is going to be a skilled trade, and KZbin university aint gone cut it. People only look at college for the pricetag nowadays without looking at whats to gain. My degree has high demand in multiple sectors and median income is well into 6 figures. I didnt pay no where near 60 k, in fact im closer to what some pay for a good skilled trade training program. Networking with people going into a variety of fields is a big point. Now more than ever its not what you know but who you know. Also education, is highly important. We need educated men just like we need construction workers etc. Dont fall into the trap of thinking continued education is not important. College helped me break down a lot of my ego, learn from and grow from people i normally wouldn't get to opportunities to interact with, and constuctively break down and solve complex issues . I used to trash college myself, because of the perceived high cost, and degree choices that might get you a manager position in a grocery store at best. I took my time, and found something that is broad-adaptable, highly sought after, and financially rewarding. Like everything else in life, college is what you make of it. Above all, acknowledge God first, and he will see you through! Stay up felllas

If you have a bright son, skip high school as an experience, home school for high school and enroll them in college full time as a high school student. My son is doing 13 units this summer, 67units total, he’s 14, by age he should be a freshman. Guess what? We pay $40 a semester for him to take classes at the university and there’s no limit. Stay woke. Pending the school, a high school is where young boys start making poor decisions. Keep them busy, challenged and interested. Your kids aren’t stuck in the traditional system. My father told me I’m on my own for college. He wouldn’t even care if I went to a community college. My sister though? Oh she went to Long Island university and then Fordham university. Combined undergrad and grad debt of $250k+. She’s a Social worker making 80k I think. I’m able to make that doing Amazon deliveries and lyft trips To the airport. What is couldn’t understand about my father is he went about it in a way where he made it seem like I did something wrong and my sister did something right but now the dynamics have shifted to where I’m making more than her without a degree and she has a masters degree. My dad would think I was jealous. It wasn’t even the case. I had better grades than my sister at every level of school. However why would you cosign $100k+ of debt for one child, tell the two boys “go scratch” instead of just sending everyone to a 2 year or state school and then if you outperform you can transfer to a bigger name. But I realize in the black community and America at whole, there is a focus on women. Many parents would crash out over the daughter and let the sons fend for themselves. So when these young boys go to college and see these programs talking about men in college, that for many of them is the first time they ever seen any body supporting the idea of them going to college

I was born and raised in Long Beach, California. As soon as I turned 14, I worked at a Burger King for a family friend who owned multiple chains of restaurants (Burger King, Denny's, Subway, Pollo Loco). He made me an assistant manager at 15 and I'd work 4pm to midnight and would be at school at 8am the next day. I had about $80k saved by the time I graduated high school(2007) and moved to Colorado with my extended family in 2010. By that time, I had about $140k saved and bought me a house in Colorado for $75k and paid it in cash. I started working for a bank in the mornings and worked at Wal-Mart in the evenings. I worked my way up and moved to quite a few departments within the bank from 2011 to 2017. I learned about computer programming from the software engineers in my departments, watched KZbin videos and tutorials to help me get up to speed, and my bosses started to notice I was doing a heck of a job. My company offered me to pay for my school and major in computer science while still working for them. I graduated in 2022 and have gotten many promotions since then, and now make $188k per year. I could make more money but I love the work-life balance of my job, working 100% from home, 7 weeks of PTO and excellent health and retirement benefits. I also have my side hustle which is my eBay store and Amazon marketplace store which brings me about $138k per year, so in total I make $326k per year. I can handle my store orders while working remotely from home for my main job since it allows so much flexibility.

Then xferred to a 4yr school and did the same thing. In all cases my employers were covering a good chunk of my expenses. It took longer but I finished debt free.

I think college isn't a waste of time. But from my experience when I was in college is lots of men don't like it because of the assignments you have to take before you get to your core subjects. You spend 2 years just learning stuff that may help you. Only classes that was useful was accounting and finance class. Lot of men dont want that debt and learning a trade you can get paid while u learn and you will always find work. Women on the other hand don't have a choice they need to go to college unless they beautiful or have family business it's hard for them to make it up the money scale ⚖️. Now when I was a child I notice it was a big push for women education and lots of men was cast aside because the focus was on women. It is still like that.. but they US education forgot that over 90% of this country is ran off the back of man. Every construction site I went to I saw men doing the work and women in the office 🏬.

And why a lot of people don’t mention is that today university is more geared towards vvomen. But I also find it funny that even though they are enrolled more men still earn more and that is something vvomen are upset AND happy about simultaneously 😂 Now I work in IT and make a lot more than I expected for my first salary job and age, and IT was just my minor

The statistics have shown there has been a decline in men attending college over the last few decades, this is not new information. The issue is men are not going to college or picking up a trade, not going into the military, not opening businesses, not marrying. Men are not picking alternatives; they are simply falling behind. Due to the state of the economy;the younger generations are rejecting college; it just does not seem beneficial! Men are going to have to step up and help other boys and men; otherwise men are going to continue to decline!
@robertlunderwood
@robertlunderwood 2 ай бұрын
This problem isn't the men's fault. It's the women's fault. Over 40% of children are being raised in a single parent home, most of those single mothers. Half of all marriages end in divorce; women file 70% of them. In family court, women get custody 90% of the time with the fathers stuck trying to fight for visitation. 60% of K-12 teachers are female; that spikes to 90% in K-5 and over 95% in pre K. The school system is designed for the development and learning styles of girls; boys are treated as defective girls. Teachers inflate the grades of girls and deflate the grades of boys, yet when the standardized tests come around, the boys outperform the girls. Boys are falling behind because they are being intentionally suppressed in favor of girls. Modern society does not want or desire traditional masculine men.

Being a screenwriter you don't make millions from writing a screenplay anymore, that was back in the 1980s in the 1990s, back in those days screenwriters made $5 million from writing a screenplay now they only make $7,000.00. I learned all this information from KZbin and the screenwriters even said on KZbin that in film school they would not tell you that. Also a producer on KZbin even said that if a screenwriter is writing a screenplay to try to have it sold to a producer the real truth is that producers don't want to read your 120 page script, they want to read your synopsis to see if they want to invest in it. In Film school they would not tell you that a film producer doesn't want to read your screenplay that they just want to read your synopsis. College is a joke unless you going for engineering or to be a doctor. Education is most likely going to have a major revamp soon. Shit, with ChatGPT you can learn more efficiently than going to college for a lot of things.

I went to college coming from a a small town because that was the only thing I knew at the time to do and get away. I excelled in college graduated with a bba in business management but was stress the entire time and almost dropped out 4x cause I hated it. Just didn’t make sense but i finished. If I was to do it all over again I wouldn’t go back. I’ll work a job and develop a high paying skill while saving and investing.

High school gpa is a good indicator? I did terrible in high school but I have multiple degrees and certs. Imagine having that school counselor telling you that you have no options.

I was like Velasquez when I was a kid. I wasn’t ready for college yet but didn’t want to stick around my hometown and work some minimum wage job. I joined the Navy to buy myself some time to figure things out. I was completely driven by what I didn’t want until I was able to figure out what I did want and how I was going to get there.

Those who can't go or don't want to go seem envious of those who choose to go to college. No need to criticize those who make that choice. Do you. Some go to trade schools and flunk out or run out of money to stay. It's also not a sure bet that one will get hired after completing a trade school. There are no guarantees.

AD, let's take it a step further, it is not just graduating from college with a degree but the field of study i.e. a marketable, in demand career. I applaud the young man that choose HVAC over college because his decision making was based on critical thinking skills that will be valuable to him in his life.

That guy at 6:02 saying that “it’s not that college is a bad idea, there are just better opportunities” no there aren’t. It’s exactly that college is a bad idea unless you get a degree that comes with real valuable skills. And you are right. I went to an all boys school. No distractions from girls during school.

Its pretty simple, there are only a handful of fields worth studying today; STEM, medicine, and law, just to name a few. If you have no interest in any of those, don't bother going to school. Secondly, most universities today are liberal feminist strongholds, and guys are tired of being told that they're predators, useless, etc.

All these younger men and women around here don’t know how to do anything with their hands. Skilled labor is the next boom. Go to your local mechanics shop and see all the retirement age men trying to get out of there and see your repair bills. HVAC, Pipe Fitting, etc will boom!
