I've never seen or heard the choir version, loved it! Thanks for reacting to it. Colin Hay was also featured in an episode of the sit com, Scrubs. He played the whole song during the show, it was so special! I am never tired of this song either.

I love both of these versions. The Choir!Choir!Choir! version just hits you and next thing you know, you’ve got tears going down your face. It gives the song the extra emotion that it deserves. Thanks for this wonderful surprise.

He's a fantastic performer...I highly recommend seeing him live if you get the chance (he's on tour again right now).

I remember when this came out - I liked it but it wasnt as overplayed as other hits they had. Kinda forgot about it until I was watching a rerun of the show “Scrubs”; Colin would show up in different scenes during the show singing some of the lyrics, just him and his guitar. It took me a while to figure out who it was and why what he was singing sounded so familiar. Now his acoustic version of this is my favorite. Also, I did get to see him live when he joined Ringo Starr and His All-Stars for a tour.

Colin Hay is on tour right now doing a great solo tour. He’s fantastic. A great story teller and songwriter. You can find a great rendition of this song from an episode of Scrubs. Colin also wrote a a song for the Garden State soundtrack which Zach Braff directed and starred in. He’s a big Colin fan. Check out Waiting for My Real Life to Begin and I Just Don’t Think I’ll Ever Get Over You.

This is one of my favorite MAW/ Colin Hay songs - and I've actually seen that Live video before (WAY COOL). Another favorite is DOWN BY THE SEA from the Business As Usual album (1982), or Live. The way they usually stretched that one out Live you could tell it was one of their favorites also.

This song has helped me through a number of emotional needs, sleepless times, anxiety, and depression. Comfort that others know similar experience, and share through talent. The video shows Colin wandering the streets of an Australian town, beach, and restless at home. This has my favorite twin solo' of alto-saxophone and guitar!!

When you said the chords on the original sounded awfully familiar, could it resemble MAW's Who Can It Be Now? The original vid for Overkill seems to imply excessive worry over nuclear destruction, which was a BIG FEAR in the early 80s. For the past 40 years, I thought the chorus included "Day after day Green Appears" -- NOW I realize the lyric is "Day after day it Reappears"!

Thanks for the double feature. Men At Work are an Australian rock band formed in1978. Their biggest hits were "Who Can It Be Now?" & "Down Under". They had some other songs such as "It's A Mistake", "Be Good Johnny", "Dr. Heckyll & Mr. Jive", "Everything I Need", "Maria", "The Longest Night" etc. Men At Work performed "Down Under" at the closing ceremony of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, alongside Paul Hogan of "Crocodile" Dundee.
