So happy to have ran across this. I saw this in 6th grade. When Tyler Perry came out with his madea plays there was a resurgence in Black plays and I remember my mom and aunts borrowing this play along with others from the local library. Some really good times 2002-2006 was perhaps some of the happiest times in my life. Best movies, tv shows, plays and books.

Classic story of boy meets girl ... but with an uncommon twist. There's action, comedy, drama and music performed in my opinion by the best stage actors of their day. Rhona Bennett's performance and singing alone is worth the watch. Alan Payne, always the subdued, sexy, stubborn hero is delicious. Oh the supporting cast all hold their own in their relative and fulfilling parts. It's a must see, once, twice and thrice! Ty for the upload

My female companion and I were the first to enter inside the theater hall, and was ready for the performance ride. Very pleased we were. Also, that night she revealed she NEVER been to an play before. She enjoyed it very much. Even to this day I'm glad I was the first to privilege her in such an classic delight.

What happened to Derrick and Angela is nothing new. It's been going on long before biblical times. Not surprising it turned out they way it did. What they got right is coming together to become a couple - to become one in God's eye. What they got wrong is not getting married as the bible says they should. Call me old fashioned. It's okay. If Angela truly believe her body was a temple then she should have held out for the man who will respect her and not want to have sex with her until they were married. Yes, sex is important in a relationship/marriage but should not the primary basis of one. When a man and woman like this “'play marriage” as always it never works or ends in a hot mess. I can go into great details if necessary to support this fact but there is not enough space here to do so. LOL In short how do you know someone is worth your time and effort? Simple. If you both have authentically Jesus in your heart then there will be so guessing game. You will both love and respect each other and cherish one another for eternity. Not just for a moment. Great love and happiness will always be yours because you pray to God renew his love in your heart and your love for each other continuously every day. Those who pray together - Stay Together!
