This is to Barkha Dutt, I think you have come a long way as a journalist and as an active voice with the privilege to reach out to many and many people in authority, power and fame. Please learn to respect the common people whether men, women or older people. you conduct yourself so poorly as a speaker in authority, its literally disheartening listening and watching you. i think you need to de-attach yourself from giving attention to yourself and make you the focus when talking about important points. Allow yourself to really listen to what people are saying whether in audience or the people on your special "hot seat". be humble, yet mindful and logical but seems like you miss the point most of the time. I honestly wish i could understand your values and grounds as a woman you stand up to, but what i gather is this lost superficial host who talks too fast and loves to "control" the environment. Deshmukh did even a friendship with Sajid where h hosted the show with him being his best friend - Deshmukh portrays this family guy personality - outside house they are being best friends with people like Sajid, I wonder indirectly they always knew what was happening, they simply ignored it , thats it!

Farhan Akhtar is talking bullshit! How can he claim he didn't know? How does he think mere apology is enough? What Sajid did was a CRIME. You can't play innocent and feign ignorance or claim sorry is fine and matter is settled. Milind Deora spoke well, but strange that he is worried why we can't make jokes on gender, religion or caste anymore and Cyrus was strangely blunt when he said chauvinism in our DNA. I salute the young 18 year old girl who dared to speak up about what women face and how they face attacks on them or their families if they speak up, report or take action. The fear for yourself and your family is real. When issue is not taken seriously then women and their families are bound to erupt in anger someday and movements like #Metoo will happen. You can't expect tolerance of bullshit comments like ones by Tavleen Singh then. #Metoo has not even resulted in any change, women speak up only to be trolled or silenced or labelled fake. Cyrus is only trying to be progressive but he is not given how he says whatever the girl narrated was not a big deal or 'men are like that'. Sorry, you cannot make videos of young girls at a station, that old man was a creep, period. Milind Deora is mansplaining too much when he says women's movement must co opt men as if onus is on women to somehow win support of men. Sorry, men should themselves realise there are issues and not expect women to convince them or persuade them, rather they themselves should join and support movements to bring change because someday such assaults, humiliation, abuse could happen to their daughters, sisters, mothers and female relatives too.
