Shubenkov is so consistent. Podium in 2013,2015,2017 and 2019 world championships
@stevie5863 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if you guys remember this year, but, Shubenkov here was inconsistent with how he had been all season, but it was because McLeod injured him in a prior race. Shubenkov was absolutely dominating that year, and totally unbeatable until then...I think this was his first loss all season, if I recall correctly.

I think his hurdling technique actually as a flaw somewhere, because he loses all his speed in the middle of the race. His start is simply brilliant, then, nothing but holding on after that. His arms look a bit tight to me also...maybe it is his sprinting technique a bit, but, something needs to be cleaned out, because the other guys are gonna catch and pass him if he keeps finishing weak.

@stevie5863 жыл бұрын
@Akpeenti Adie ultimately, you’re correct, but it’ seems more like an issue of lacking confidence in his NEW technique and reverting to his comfort zone. He has an amazing start and usually gets caught and passed. Prior to the games, he FIXED his problem, much like SAFP (in fact, he is like the male version of SAFP, come to think of it), but in the finals, he went back to his old way. Clearly, I believe it was the pressure and him not relaxing and trusting what he’s been taught. He will be fine once his new technique is the norm for him.

Unfortunately Ortega got the shaft here (I wonder if there was cause for an appeal here), but it by no means invalidates the sport as a competition at all. Ortega could have, within his own power, avoided getting knocked out, by simply running faster from the start. If he were ahead of McLeod when he fell, there wouldn’t have been any problem. @@truth8508 it rarely happens but lets think about what you are saying: -extra lane width while keeping the same hurdlers, what now will happen is that hurdlers can go past the hurdles while staying in their lane, not even having to go over them. -lets address that issue by also making the hurdlers wider, and thats when you get back to the original problem, if you give people space, some of them will use it, they wont just stay away from the edges. In this final, Mcleod would have still gone to the side automatically, even if his lane was wider

@riseofdb19574 жыл бұрын
@@claimattacol8525 READ!!! I SAID it would have been interesting. Also, I made a general statement concerning their techniques (Omar and Daniel) and the fact that they are naturally speedy. Hence, once they get their techniques together, they can be undefeated. Also, I could or can say he would have been a factor in the medals too because of his performance prior, just as how the commentators would have made "assumptions" of who would win based on prior performances. Additionally, he has been competing throughout the season leading up to the championship and showed his class, which indicated that he was a contender for the title; the mere fact he won the USA championship and he defeated both McCleod and Galloway leading up to the championship (in reference to Daniel that is). Hence, it was disappointing as we never got to see him compete further than the heats.
