I really hope that this KZbin account will last forever. I saw those biathlon videos a few times during the years. It's a joy to do that. I remember quite well those Olympics in Vancouver 2010. Some athletes are still active (2021): A.Peiffer, T.Bø, J.Fak, S.Eder, A.Rastorgujevs, L.Hofer, Those guys were bloody jung back in 2010.

Feel like Peifer retired earlier than that,everyone else you mentioned is still there,Rastorgujevs just returned from a suspension to finish 5th in the austrian world cup sprint,Fak was seventh in the pursuit ,moved up from 25th.

@MrUaBaluba Actually nations get a small say in seeding, they decided when specific athletes started, at least to an extent. It is all part of the sport, conditions change but thats what makes it exciting!

It's a pity they show the results in the title, and/or in the beginning of the video. They assume everybody knows but i don't or i forgot. It kind of spoils the viewing imo.

Sorry to say that, but this race should have been stopped. Quite unfair for those who started later when the conditions changed so much. And this race was the first part of the pursuit and the change in conditions had huge outcome on that. Jay did his best race ever. No doubt about that, and he was lucky that Bjørndalen missed so many times so he got lift at his last round...
