this may sound weird, but I really like the way my hair (and yours) look right after the shower more than how it looks after it's dry. is there a way to make than happen? Edit: LOL I just resumed the video and you talked about it! for reference: 5:06

Great video ! Learned alot... I have always had trouble with diffusers. Have never tried the method of hovering the diffuser gently all over as you do. I was doing the old technique of cupping curls and pushing to scalp. Will try your method.

Thanks for this video! My girlfriend has me thinking more about my natural hair and this is has been very informative. How did you get it to the length without it bunching up? Do you trim often? I feel like my hair doesn’t grow out correctly, like it grows out horizontally rather than vertically. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Jesse! Big hug from Mexico. Found your channel a few weeks ago and it’s helping a lot. I’m in the 6th month of hair growth so go figure I’m right into the awkward stage/watching a shitload of videos that only make me more confused but hey… Appreciate an actual professional on KZbin talking about hair. Question: have you talked about haircut techniques? Specifically with thinning scissors (I’ve read a lot about asking or NOT asking your stylist for thinning if you have coarse hair).
@jonas9512212 жыл бұрын
What I heard and experienced from getting thinning done is that it looks cool in the beginning but as the hair grows out it makes your hair more fluffy in a bad way. It feels like the shorter hair is pushing the other hairs out on the sides and its getting harder to shape.

Hi Jesse! I've been watching your videos and learning so much! Thank you for your guidance! I have similar hair to yours and only recently have been adding product and blowdrying my hair (thanks to your videos). Considering the time and effort that it takes to style your hair, how often do you wash your hair? I don't understand if this is something that you do everyday, or if you wait 2-3 days (or more) after washing and styling your hair to do it again. Please explain, thanks!

What would you recommend for hair products not have bouncy lavish hydrated curls. I don’t have super long hair like you but have the average men curls hair ig. I’ve been using cocomagic curl enhancing cream and aunt Jackie’s curl lala and it’s been working but I wanna try something healthy and good for my hair that leaves it nice and soft and smooth and enhances my curls. I have thin hair and have tried so many products from shea moisture to cantu to Maui moisture and it hasn’t worked and leaves me hair dry and brittle and ugly. Since you are a professional hair stylist do you have any recommendations? If you could please reach out it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Hi Jesse, This is Ankit from India First of all i love you. I love your hair, your content, your funny way of presenting knowledge especially when u say u wanna look like jesus. I know sounds gay but it is just a truly impressed viewer. I have similar hair type as yours and enjoy almost every video you put. And you know what honestly I don’t think you even need to ask your viewers to subscribe or like. Those who have the eye to see it will definitely do. Like me. So thanks for all your videos.

Is it okay to scrunch dry with a diffuser? or does that not make a difference?
@annmartin13763 жыл бұрын
Ive done both ways. Tried Jesse's tutorial above and my waves turned into curls!.. Better, more defined waves or curls and more "unified shape".. My curl/wave pattern doesn't respond as well when its manipulated a lot while wet (I posted a pic of a section of my hair on Discord. after using this technique).

@Jessesbarbershop3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, but no I can’t do that. Every video I’ve ever made talking about hair products states this clearly. You get what you pay for. There are some people in the discord chat that have been giving out their personal recommendations that are more in line with your thinking, but if you’re asking me, the answer is no; I cannot give you drugstore products recommendations because I don’t use them.
