Tury and Kevin were underscored, while Eaton and the Japaneses over-scored. Yuto has the best stile ever, but he played safe, not a flip trick basically. A gold medal in street skate should at least show some flipping skills. Judges should be better trained and their subjectivity should be limited as in diving scoring, otherwise is bad for the sport.

@@supermarcoa I feel bad for Tury and Kevin too. I think all top6 skaters deserves podium. But less flip tricks and got gold is insane.
@supermarcoa2 ай бұрын
@@listentomelistentome8147 Not a fan of Tury and Kevin, I just noted that their scores were unfair. Actually a wrong scoring is bad also for Yuto (and the skate sport more broadly) even if gives him the gold medal, because it does not push him to go out his comfort zone and improve the consistency on flip tricks (he is able to do as in his video parts) to be more competitive on contests and further rise the level of competitions. To be clearer: Yuto is the best street skater at the moment and deserve the gold, but not in this way.
@JByrdddd2 ай бұрын
He didn’t play it safe doing a Nollie 270 blunt down a handrail is anything but safe. No one else is doing Yutos tricks and flip tricks are just as risky as doing handrail tricks so your point is moot. The margin for error is very slim when you do any trick variation down a rail.

@illiturit11513 ай бұрын
Yeah, no. Scoring a bs nollie into a fakie 5-0 and bs ollie into the same trick the hard way is criminally bad judging. Easily the hardest trick done in the entire competition. Think judges are swayed by the skaters jerking themselves off after they land their tricks. 97 for Yuto was just weird. Locking into a bluntslide is way easier than leveling a fakie 5-0. Sora's run scored superior. And cab into a back tail and big-spinning out, having to let go of the board, landing perfectly. Yeah...no. Sora-Gold! Yuto-Silver? Jagger-Bronze, but only because his masterbatorial celebration is more polished. Actually Jagger/Yuto/Nyjah could have gone either way, but none of those dudes are ollie overturning into bs fakie 5-0s.
