I've packed everything I may need to survive for at least 3 + days by myself, and for all kinds of weather, and not once did I ever consider taking rice cakes with me as a survival food. I only take, among other things, high energy bars, bags of trail mix, a few high calorie chocolate bars, lots of fresh beef jerky, hot cocoa packs, multi chocolate nut candy mix, fire starter, water proofed matches, a lighter, huge hunting knife, small knife, 4 silver survival blankets, (great for building a water proof shelter with branches), thin strong rope, fishing line and hooks, folded tin foil, a compass, 2 garbage bags, and all of this fits into a large fanny pack. I also wear multi layers of clothing that I can remove if too hot, and tie onto my belt if not needed. My moto - go for the day, prepare for the worst.

I can't help but see a spiritual aspect in this rescue. The depth that Jesus came to this world to seek & save mankind. Jesus came to save the lost because of His love for you & me ✝️ 🙏 ❤

I’m glad that they’re safe and survived the ordeal, and salute to these rescuers who made it possible risking their lives to save these adventure seekers. Just quite sad that this beautiful cave was altered in some ways, the trash they left and drilled part of the cave.

Final words, if they find an access point to get in there again, he will be the first to go. Like the one pilot that got hijacked three times and on the final one landed on water and lived to tell about it. Some people just do not give up. But on the plus side if I do get a pilot, he is the man with his skills that I want flying my plane. Any man that can outsmart hijackers and keep the plane where he wanted it and not where he was told to go and land with no fuel close to a coast line where rescue can come quickly. Genius. Sadly though some get the impression that they survive that they can continue to do so and are unstoppable.

It’s amazing which length humans go to find complete strangers. I would be so apologetic if I’d made all those rescuers look for me for so long and having to risk their own life.
