#3 grew up in a home where my dad had Thursday night bowling with the guys. Mom would have a girls day. They spent 50 years together and set a wonderful example. If you want commitment, commit to yourself to healing first, stop holding on to past loves, grow your emotional intelligence, understand that women want commitment, loyalty, priority, effort, growth, and communication. I don’t agree with men want commitment more than women. I think that you are right that yes women desire it a lot more than men but when they been with a lot of bad men they just stay single but on the flip side of it for me it Seems like it takes one heartbreak with them and they are done with women.

Not this guy. I've had my heart broken. I've broken a heart or two. I didn't feel good about ending a relationship. But I knew we were not going to survive long term. I've found after 2 marriages Im a lot more guarded. I want a real relationship. Not another woman that decides how it's going to be.

Women want marriage in their earlier years to be taken care of financially and provide the gift of legacy before their pregnancies are considered geriatric pregnancy, still giving the best of themselves. Men want to get married when they have hypertension, enlarged prostates, and erectile dysfunction.

I think when women think of commitment, they think of the responsibility of a relationship (nurturing, caring, kindness, cooking meals, having a family, etc), but when men think of commitment, they are wanting their woman to settle down/ not run around/flirt with others/etc.

I somewhat disagree with points on reason 4. I think women are choosing to be single over men because women have experienced what comes with being married or in a long term relationship. A lot of men have an easier life when married because the wife is left to pick up the slack. A lot of women have an easier life when they are single or living separately from their SO. Is this how it should be? No, but majority of the time the women end up with a “child” and not a partner
