In 2020 I was fortunate enough to discover a 97 2.8 Z3 in a misplaced ad in Auto Trader. A one owner seldom driven and always maintained with all the documentation. It was in Calgary Alberta and has been my daily driver in Saskatchewan ever ever since. It looks out of place in a sea of white pick-ups and SUV's but that only adds to my enjoyment.

I have a '98 Z3 2.8L roadster and love it. Even though I don't have subframe issues, I blame BMW for not accepting the blame for poor design and strength of the subframe tearing apart.
@tl56kmair4 жыл бұрын
Nick Funk yep, the car was never designed for the sixes, they should have done a complete redesign on the sub frame to handle the extra power. I have the 1.9 and love it but sometimes I wish it had more power

crazzy they used water based paint in 1994, that's insane to me

Do you find that the 1.8 is too slow?? Or still good and fun to drive??

@@dajusta87 it'll be fun to drive although sluggish

What I didn't like about the Z3 is zero adjustments for alignment for the rear and minimal for the front. Though you can purchase an aftermarket kit for the rear that some pieces have to be welded in.

That steering wheel is nice
@brianevans673 Жыл бұрын
Never saw that wheel on a Z3. My best guess is that it was from the BMW Individual division. Good luck finding one!
