I love this video great explanation. I think when using the terms you refered alleles as genes. The two alleles are what make up the genotype. Essentially what codes for penotype. Tall height. anyways it's not much of big deal.

You missed crossing over in meiosis 1 where purple capital T will get exchanged with the red capital T nd thus a chromosome will have purple T red T on it’s sister chromatids
@abebarnes32695 жыл бұрын
Being that he's describing Meiosis in regard to a single aspect, explaining crossing over is not necessary

Isn't what you explained at the beggining the law of dominance??
@ARK4N7 жыл бұрын
this was amazing thank you
@morriskohanfars7 жыл бұрын
I think you mean "alleles" instead of genes. "Gregor Mendel proposed that each pea plant contains two hereditary factors (aka genes*)" Should be alleles instead of genes. A gene has two sets of alleles....
@yunielg76304 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the dumb question, but what is it that makes the T dominant over the lower t?
@betsysa68366 жыл бұрын
I hope someone would answer my question. I find the epigenetic and mendel's law are somewhat a paradox. As far as I understand, epigenetic regulate, so that only one gene is expressed. It decides the activation of the dna. Whereas in mendel, both genes are activated. I don't know how to formulate my question, but I hope someone understands my confusion
