Xaver Varnus has played virtually every important organ in the world, including those in Bach's Thomaskirche in Leipzig (2014), Berliner Dom (2013), Notre-Dame (1981), Saint-Sulpice (2006) and Saint-Eustache (1996) in Paris, National Shrine in Washington, D.C. (1985), and Canterbury Cathedral (2004), as well as the largest existing instrument in the world, the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia (1985). His Quadruple Platinum Disc winning album From Ravel to Vangelis, released by Sony BMG in 2007, is the best-selling collection of organ recordings ever. @@EwicoCylinder Ja da stimme ich Ihnen voll und ganz zu! Mal abgesehen von der Anzahl an Pianisten, die es für sich selbst als unmöglich erachten , sich eine Hand und Fuß Koordination derart an zu trainieren🙃: Die dynamische Differenzierung erfordert beim Klavier sicher viel körperliches Feingefühl. Und das macht es ungleich schwerer als Orgel spielen, wenn man nicht nur in mf oder FF spielen möchte :-))

@@organgoesheavy Sehr gut Beschrieben das wollte ich damit sagen. Orgel braucht zwar ein wenig Gewöhnungszeit beim Pedal spiel und Registrieren ist danach aber relativ einfach :-)

AnBa 🤔ich finde , das Stück gehört so - aber vielleicht könnte man auch eine Rockversion daraus machen 😂 In manchen Fällen ist das durchaus klasse - siehe Exception und Bach . Das knallt dann richtig!

@Marta Heumann X. V. war schon am Anfang an ein Organist und kein Pianist. Es ist eine Frage der Interpretation, wie schnell oder langsam ein Stück vorgetragen wird. Er behauptet, dass Werke von Bach sollen langsamer gespielt werden, als es heutzutage gewöhnlich ist! (Folgendes Video ist auch ein Beweis dafür: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJKremNjo6pnhZI ) Es geht um das Willen und nicht um das Können. In diesem Video finde ich z. Trotz all meiner Versuche, dem Tempo etwas abzugewinnen, habe ich meine Probleme damit. Das schöne daran ist die Zelebration jedes einzelnen Tones, der sonst oft in unpräzisen Läufen untergeht. Aber es geht schon viel von den melodischen Bögen verloren, die man sich nur noch denken kann. Und v.a. Ist es ein Choral, und der sollte doch so gespielt werden, wie man ihn auch singt. Bin etwas ratlos.

@@imretoth8903 Heut Zutage wird allgemein Bach und auch andere große Komponisten an Orgeln viel zu schnell gespielt, wodurch viele schöne Melodie Rhythmen einfach Verloren gehen. Musik soll dazu da sein um sie zu genießen, einen berühren und Erstaunen was alles möglich ist und nicht einfach wie viele durchzurasen wie ein Ferrari Rennfahrer auf der Rennbahn und versuchen immer am Limit des Tempos zu spielen. Ich finde es sehr schön das Herr Xaver Varnus dem nach geht und auch Werke in mit viel Gefühl und Emotionen spielt und dadurch die Werke über den Horizont hinaus gehen.

insgesamt aber zu langsam vorgetragen.Grad die 6.Sonate lebt vom "Pressing".Dieses wundervolle Werk muss ganz einfach "schnell"gespielt werden.sonst verliert sich der "rote Faden.Zumal der Kirchraum einen Wiederhall unter 2 Sekunden hat.
