This is Rabbi Moshe's Shur's niggun - originally to the words, "Ish Yehudi haya b'Shushan HaBira u'shmo Mordechai" As much as I love Shlomo's niggunim, and R. Moshe's, I find this combination, especially for selichot, incongruous.

is that a mess,,,a feast or a religion session,,,,they took their religion a sort of game,,,no respect no reflexion,,,nothing spiritual....
@ozzie775610 жыл бұрын
A true religious/spiritual experience is way beyond intellectual reflection. It supersedes a miniscule human intellect. It happens when we allow ourselves to be elevated from the constraints of this physical gross world and our own egos. One of the ways to do this is thorough pure song and joy. Such music is the pen of the soul. That's what these people are doing. Sad that you don't seem to appreciate this.

the temple,,the church ,,the mosque are meditation's places,,, it losts the spiritual aspect....for us t's forbiden to sing ,,to dance to shout,,to scream into those sacred places,,any way,,i respect your choice,,,

***** It's Selichos - the special prayer service recited on the Eve of the Jewish New Year. For whomever feels it's forbidden to sing before G-d, serve Him with joy... I am sorry. It's a shame to live life without this ecstasy.

We are sent into the physical world to lift up the material and make it spiritual. We do this with dance and song and laughter dedicated to Gd. We do it also with food dedicated to the One Above--every table is an altar. Before and after every meal we wash and say blessings. And before eating the food, we raise up the soul of each item. And on the Sabbath every man (for a man without a wife is not a man) every man makes love to his wife and connects with the Shekhinah, with the Shabbat Bride, with the Torah, which is Wisdom, which is Gd's Word. It's not a game. It's Divine service. Gd loves it. Gd needs us to do this for Him.
