I’ve been watching the Pensioners/blues since 67 so many great players but I can honestly say he’s my favourite player of all time. He a brilliant footballer and and a great human being if Gazza had hadn’t got a bad injury and then got into booze and Drugs he would probably be up there with The worlds best. I can recall a certain 16 year old Jimmy Greaves in 1956 achieving senior football for CFC Reserves and in 1957 his debut for the First team Vs The Foxes friendly from where the goals and skills just got better. Jimmy was similarly modest and humble as Cool Cole as he grew into top level football over the next 4 years as a pure goal scoring machine. Cool Cole altogether a different player with more diverse skills and ability than Jimmy is a different but also as natural and a likeable personality. Cole fitness permitting should reach the same if not more elevated heights in the game than Jimmy still earning £20 per week, who sadly we had to sell to AC Milan when the owners the Mears Bros ran out of dosh. Gianfranco was another icon at the Bridge and their meting was enterrttaining. Pity Cole never (or did he?) met Jimmy that would have been an interesting feature too.
