County fan here, the rivalry that has built up over the last few seasons has been great and to be fair I do have a lot of respect and warmth for Wrexham. Both of our clubs have been through the wringer and endured the pain of lower league football for an extended period of time. Delighted we both back and rising up, long may our rivalry continue and for it to mostly remain a friendly one - I say mostly as they'll always be the nigglers.

As a County fan have to say that was a great watch, wouldn’t say there is a rivalry as such more banter between two clubs heading in the same direction, yeah you get fans on both sides that would say otherwise i guess.

I can completely agree with you re: the media love-in with Wxm: it even gets on OUR nerves too now. In the beginning, it was a novelty seeing 'Wrexham' being mentioned in the Daily's and the news etc! Before R&R...nobody (outside of Wxm) even knew who, or where, we were!! The thing to remember is though, it's got NOWT to do with us (the fans)...it's all about todays 'algorithms' and 'clicks'....Sheesh! I sometimes wish we were still playing the likes of Wealdstone and Solih.......uhm, hang on a minute....scrub that!! 🙃😄

The "rivalry" began when we were both up there fighting for the NL title and then when we got knocked out of the trophy one of your fans filmed himself ringing our club ticket office asking for a ticket to the final and laughing. We then took the title, you crashed out in the play off and lost the final. Oops.

Not sure quite how ‘…working class’ the borough of Stockport actually is, the demographic data suggests it’s rather more mixed, with several recent national ‘Best Place to Live’ awards (The Times for example - NW England winner) based on some very un-working class criteria.
