Menno defenders always say his moves arent super flashy or easy to understand so audiences dont always get it, but they are just more technical. I'm trying to understand that, and in this battle there is a lot of crazy toe touches (judges love that stuff) and footwork that's hard to pull off. Many of his transitions are unpredictable as hell too. I think his whole style is based upon building momentum in unusual ways, which gives him a lot of unpredictability to judges who know the dance well and are probably less surprised and amazed with certain things that wow audiences

I'm more of a fan of Victor than Menno but I do like Mennos style for all the detailed intricacies and his back to back flow. Victor has more blowups. But to say Victor got robbed is a stretch. I had round 1 for Menno and Round 2 clearly for Victor. Round 3 could have gone either way and I could see why they would have given it to Menno. It was a close battle. Congrats to Menno from Los Angeles. Very consistent with his style though he seems to be slowing down a bit.
