Lovely video Justina. The way I grew up, white dresses were forbidden for the bride. I rebelled, left that church and wore white. Otherwise we had a very simple wedding, without a reception. We just went out to dinner with our wedding party.

Not to uncommon for mennonites! My mom didn't have a white dress either. But I always dreamed of having a big white dress and I'm glad I did have the chance 😊 Sounds like you still had a lovely wedding.

Great video, Justina! Weddings have come a long way there from what I remember, they used to not be allowed to have white dresses. I'm glad you were able to go to your sister's wedding ❤ Blessings from MB Canada 🇨🇦

So interesting! I'm mennonite too and I was not allowed to wear white either! Beautiful words of that song you sister sang. Joanna

That is very common, it depends what church you attend I guess. 😊

Your little niece is so cute ❤ Your weddings are similar to ours we are what I call middle of the road as far as conservative Mennonite 😅.

Terrible that they are separating from the rest of Mexico, the tendency is to speak English and not "their country" Mexico's Spanish. Not Good. (Mexico didn't learn from 1847)

Interesting how you can assume from this one little glimpse of what we speak in Mexico?🫢 We ourselves being Mennonites, and living in Mexico, have very well high educated schools with Spanish, English, and German Participating in many Spanish things and competitions in Mexico City and etc. I’m not sure if it’s jealousy that we are speaking three languages very well 😊 Also, a beautiful culture ❤

Thank you for your reply! It's exactly what I thought. You explained it very well! 💕

I agree with the other comment. We don't just speak English in fact most schools do teach Spanish aswell as English. They had chosen to have English songs at their wedding. I make my videos in English for more people to understand, even though that's not my first language.
