As a highly intelligent and very socially aware dyslexic I still have problems with intimate relationships over communication. I think being smarter is worse because people have a very hard time seeing me be intelligent and successful in one area but have such a hard time with something they see as very simple. They think it's an emotional issue or worse that I'm doing it on purpose to be manipulative. It's actually caused an extreme amount of stress in my life and caused may more problems than having reading & writing issues ever has.

This was so informative. My partner is a dyslexic, and sometimes I forget that. Cos I become frustrated. But I wana be more supportive, Hence am trying to learn as much as I can - so that i can be able to meet him halfway.

Surprised by Jane as I would have expected she was by the accuracy of the description. Explains how I'm discovering how non-dyslexics percieve dyslexic traits. I never imagined but I see it clearly with the descriptions.

The noises causing confusion certainly could explain some panic attacks in social situations. Noisy resteraunts, busy malls...etc.
