Shocked to hear that we have only 4K psychiatrist! Mental health is ignored in our country and it’s super saddening. One instance that changed my outlook forever was - My friend visited dentist for a normal tooth checkup. The dentists advised him to visit mental health doctor as he noticed that he had a habit of clenching teeth. This habit was also impacting his jaw structure or something. The mental health doctor identified that he does it when he feels weak, is in stress or in hunger. The doctor is now helping him to get away with the habit. I respect the fact that the dentists identified the root cause, initiated right treatment and encouraged mental health!

Women scientist would be a welcome addition to the wake up with Sorabh series, my suggestions would be Gagandeep Kang (Virologist at CMC), Prajval Shastri (Astrophysicist at Indian Institute of Astrophysics), Vidita Vaidya (Neuroscientist at TIFR, Mumbai)

This is first time I have understood what are different ways to determine if you have any mental issues or not and how to solve it. At the end of the episode I felt I also have symptoms of mental health issues

56 year old "uncle" here. Great episode. Dr Anjali is straight out of central casting of a psychiatrist with that soothing presence and ASMR podcast voice. Who would think she is the sister of the king of the BC bombs, Atul Khatri. But all kidding aside, this is the second time in a row that I have seen this mellow side of Atul, first on Sahil's podcast and now this one. For those of us of a certain vintage, having been reared in an environment of not showing emotions and any perceived weakness, this kind of openness of the newer generation is a scary but welcome change. Kudos on doing this.

Learnt a lot from this podcast, specially the point that a routine is really necessary and binge watching might not be a good idea, have made my sleep cycle worse than any of the people around me.
