I think, until you've suffered with depression, you will never really understand it...how debilitating it really is...even after you think you've understood it, and addressed it, it can creep back and catch you unawares...it's far more than negativity, though that's there...it takes away the ability to be decisive, to go out and do things...even the simplest things...it takes away your energy, your simple pleasures, your small satisfactions, your sleep (possibly the worst thing) and ultimately your reasoning...
