This song was written by Changbin, the first to sing in the video! You should absolutely take a look at his skz player solo song, "Streetlight"! It was written for mental health awareness and was influenced by the Blue Tree Project from Australia which spreads the message that Its Ok to Not Be Ok.

the guy you asked who he was around 19:46 is lee know!! also one of my favorite things about stray kids lyrics is that very few of them are written with gendered lyrics, and because the boys write all these themselves, it feels touching that people of so many experiences and with different sexualities can relate to what they are singing about. pop music pushes heterosexuality a lot and i think its cool that stray kids havent limited themselves to that in terms of their lyrics

I would like to recommend scars one take. They shot it live in a single take on a studio just like this one. The lyrics are beautiful too... The very first line goes "I'll never cry because I know that it'll never change" in english...

my favourite part of this song is when at the start of the year changbin teased his and seungmin’s guide on vlive, changbin and han have said they think of seungmin’s vocals when writing and producing and i just found it so sweet that changbin wrote this and immediately thought of seungmin singing the guide for them

19:45 this is LeeKnow (real name Minho) I've seen quite a few Stays talking about this song being very relateable especially for the LGBTQ+ community. In the end we don't know if this was intended or not, but since they always seem to be supportive towards the LGBTQ+ community it could be. I really hope that this series continues!

fun fact: before this song was released they teased it in a livestream and played like a minute of it (that was before we even knew the title of it) so up until it got released half a year later we kept calling this "the gay song" and wondering when it would come out (no pun intended😭). a huge portion of this fandom is actually lgbt+ and stray kids have continuously shown their support and their discography (especially love songs like this) are gender neutral so that everyone can relate to the lyrics. the lyrics translation in this video aren't 100% accurate. the line in the beginning that you reference at 6:13 "if liking you is wrong" literally translated would be "if liking you is a SIN" that just makes it sound even gayer. if you are interested in more of their queer coded songs i recommend their song "wow". it doesn't have an official video but you could just watch a lyrics video :D

I think people don't talk a lot about how when it comes to lyrics stray kids write, they are always inclusive, even when they did a cover for a song they changed the lyrics from "That girl is on my mind" to "you're always on mind" so it can apply to any gender :') I love them so much please. It truly can be noticed in more songs and it means a lot

Ah yes, my new skz queer anthem 😌 I don't know how intentional it is but there are many songs of theirs that make it very easy for us in the LGBTQ+ community to feel represented or identify ourselves within the lyrics. In a world that's highly gendered all of the time, I appreciate their approach to love songs the most. It's not that they don't have ANY gender-specific song (I think there's like one or two) but that within their discography there's room for us to feel safe and understood. Can't wait for more of your reactions!

Chronosaurus by Stray Kids will be a great video to react next-- Chronos was a god of time in Greek mythology.+ Saurus(cold-blooded creature), a song to express they're of running out of time. “Chronosaurus” is a dark song about time and the anxiety it causes. It makes sense that it references both a god of time and a prehistoric animal that went extinct long ago.

I love how you break down these videos. One thing that truly amazes me about skz is their lyrics. It’s easy to get lost in the music itself and not really pay attention to what it actually means specially for someone who doesn’t speak the language. I love them so much just because of how real their music is. The songs they write where they talk about how they’re not always ok and life’s not perfect, that they feel sad, too. It makes you feel closer to the artist and idk makes you feel understood. They’ve helped me so much I am so happy I came across not just their music but them as well. They always say that if stays were ever lost to see in them a home and idk I’m ranting anyway I really recommend winter falls, slump, gone away and red lights because the video is a little spicy but the lyrics are very different Oh and that’s leeknow btw :)

Stray kids do have a fairly large lgbt+ fan base and they’ve always been supportive of us and showed us a lot of love! Their songs always try to support and give comfort to those who don’t necessarily fit in and show us that there’s some where we belong. Whenever they do vlives they always make sure to tell us that they love us and are always there for us if we need them and I think that’s what makes skz so special.

im not the kind thats into reaction videos, but you got in my recommended and ive been enjoying yours so far i definitely recommend getting into Stray Kids more, they have all sorts of songs too when it comes to mental health i recommend: Scars Voices Hellevator Winter Falls 24 to 25 Phobia Mirror Awaken Grrr My Pace Side Effects Ex Slump (this one is for an anime outro, but i feel like it can be very relatable too, there is an english version aswell) Levanter (theres an english version for this one aswell) Gone Away Mixtape: OH then theres other songs that i really like: All In Thunderous Christmas eveL TMT Mixtape 1, 3 and 4 (i also like the second one, although i prefer these, i mean i like all of their songs lol, i just prefer some over the others) Victory Song I am YOU My Side District 9 Red Lights (oh yeah this one will kill you lmao) Wow (by Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix) Easy Top (there is an english version for this aswell) Cheese Domino (theres an english version for this one aswell) SSICK Surfin (by Lee Know, Changbin, Felix) Wolfgang sorry for the long recommendation lmao, you might aswell check all of their songs at that point haha when it comes to the ones with english versions that i wrote, i think you should check both versions, two of them are australian (Bang Chan and Felix) so they have perfect english, then theres 3 that are fluent (Seungmin, Han, Hyunjin) and then the other three have good pronunciation but are not too fluent (Lee Know, I.N, Changbin) definitely worth checking both versions :) again, sorry for the long comment

Honestly, this song screams GAY/LESBIAN vibes. A fun fact about stray kids, it's that they always say that they try to write their lyrics with no gender, so more people can relate to them, and as a gay teen I find that very special in a group, because they're trying to be inclusive

I would love to see you react to their relationships with each other in the group. They are really close like a family but have such different ways of showing care. From Felix who is a complete cuddle bug and is always touching who ever is closest, to Lee Know who acts rough and tough but secretly does small things for them without the others knowing. Chan the leader is like a dad that is always looking out for them but has this childish side when he wants attention. Their dynamics are very interesting to watch and it’s funny that based on their stage personality people expect them to be a certain way and when they see them off stage it’s like two different people. Felix and Binnie are like night and day on and off stage, both show this hard side when performing but both are soft and squishy and require attention and love off stage.

AAAA I’m so glad you reacted to this!!! In the group shot you paused in at 5:50 , the members are Chan, Felix, Han, Lee Know, Changbin, IN, Hyunjin and Seungmin. Ima write some quick descriptions so it's easier. Might mention their main thing but they're all all-rounders (can dance sing and rap) Chan: oldest member and leader, he's part of 3racha (the trio who produce and write skz songs, they used to be Soundcloud rappers I love them). He's Australian and part of the rap line. born 1997 Felix: deep voice guy, he's super sweet and lately seems to favour a blonde mullet. Another Aussie bro and third youngest, part of the '00 line (the four guys who were born on 2000) and his main role is a main dancer Han: also part of 3RACHA, he's fourth-youngest and born a day before Felix so we like to call them twins (part of the '00 line). He's the most versatile member IMO and can reach hella high, main rapper, funny af and likes emotional music and stuff. Lee Know: real name Lee Minho, he's a main dancer and second oldest (1998). He was a dancer professionally before joining skz and it shows, we call him the mum of the group (chan is the dad lol, they take their roles as oldest seriously). He does the most falsetto i think Changbin: last member of 3RACHA, I thinkkk he should still be number one fastest rapper at kpop but haven't checked in a while, he wrote this song!! Easy to recognise his voice!! he's third oldest (1999) IN: real name Yang Jeongin, youngest member, vocal line, he grew so tall *wipes away tear* born 2001 used to sing trot and have braces. Hyunjin: up until a few months ago he had long hair so that's a way to recognise him, main dancer, super pretty, love the way he raps, he has a very unique tone so one of the easier ones to recognise (voice wise). Also part of the '00 line and fourth oldest. Very dramatic, we stan Seungmin: main vocal, youngest of the '00 line and second youngest all together, somehow the most responsible one, his voice had made me cry its jsut so pretty,,,, I’ma try to write a better guide on how to recognise them look-wise and voice wise. If anyone’s interested i can drop the google doc here when I’m finished haha. I actually have a skz master-post but that one is more personality-wise.

Recommendations for Stray Kids: "Ex", "Side Effects" (this is a polarizing song as it is *loud* but I have faith you will totally catch the meaning in the lyrics!!), "Because I Like You" (love song by Felix/Changbin), Han's "Alien" and Changbin's "Streetlight"! i always take the line about building a wall as in that the friend knows they like them so now theres a wall between them both because its awkward now and friend distances themselves because of it, they're not comfortable with the crush or don't know how to deal with it and the speechless is because they didn't realise that would be the outcome of their feelings towards the friend and it makes them mad hence changbin singing "i blame myself, i blame you" (blame themself for being honest about their feelings and blame the friend for putting this awkwardness between them, resentful and the bit about the movie tickets, an excuse to get closer but the friend feels pressured to like them back when they don't and that causes even more of a rift changbin writes such heartbreaking lyrics

My daughter got me loving SK. Their talent is unbelievable. First two in the video are the reason for the song. Changbin wrote it because of “things he went through”. He struggled and finally let love take over. ❤️ All the boys sing and dance in our souls.

I'd recommend Changbin's Streetlight. The lyrics are just beautiful, about loneliness, about playing strong for others, about the mask we put on to appear strong. Han's Alien is great too. Very relatable. Voices is great too, one of my favourites. It definitely speaks about inside voices but also about outsiders' opinions. Grow up is what I would have liked to hear when I was in my teens. I recommended it to my nephew, and told her I'd try to be for her, whenever she needed me.

It's my favorite song of straykids and i hate that i can relate to everything they're saying. When i listen to that song i get some kind of a uncomfortable feeling because these lyrics fit so perfect. Like you said the struggle not being able to tell someone that you like them is so frustrating. I was really in love with her (it was not just a crush thing, more like a soulmate thing if that makes any sense) and i never told her how i feel, so i just kept being friends with her. Now she has a boyfriend and i missed my chance to tell her. We used to Text everyday at everytime of the day and it was normal for me to wait for a message from her, but now we barely talk or text each other and it hurts so bad. (English is not my mother language so i hope there are no mistakes =/ )

The main thing that connects STAYs and Stray Kids is the heartfelt lyrics that they have been writing themselves ever since pre-debut, so all of the things in these songs come directly from their experiences. I highly suggest reacting to Hellevator, Voices, Scars (but not the MV since it doesn't have english captions), Slump, Grow Up, Another Day, etc... The lyrics of these songs hits hard.
