About nearly the same numbers: it is easy to find middle of them (for 13 and 17 it is 15, for example) and then use this formula: (a+b)(a-b)=a²-b². In this case - 13*17=(15+2)(15-2)=15²-2²=225-4=221. Easy! Also works with kinds of fractions (including type like 1.24 or 2.674 but it's harder).

Another trick which I discovered for multiplication with 9’s is what I call the “Make ten Subtract ten.” For example 9 x 46 First you add whatever digit is needed to make the second number (not 9) a ten. In this case a 4. So now we know the last digit. 9 x 46 = _ _ 4 Now you remove the 0 from the new number you’ve made. So in this case 50 gets turned into 5. And you subtract it from the original number. 9 x 46 = _ _ 4 - 5 --- 41 Those are the last digits you need and you get the answer. 9 x 46= 414

When multiplying a number by 1.5, you can use this method too: Since we are multiplying by 1.5, we can add the number multiplied by 1.5’s half of it to itself. It may sound confusing because of my English so let’s write a example: 1.5x42 We should divide 42 by 2 and add the result to 42. 42:2 is 21 and if we add 21 to 42 we will get 63, which is the answer of the problem 😀

@@saniya21saniya21 Thank you for your nice comment 🌸. And yes, we should divide the number by 2 everytime because if we multiplied the number by 2, we would add the number to itself. Since we are multiplying by 1.5, we should add the number’s half to itself. But this could not work in some numbers. In this case, you should multiply the number by 1.5 directly. ♥️ I hope you understood
