6 Observations • Good to see we can stage a comeback against a London rival, away, but truthfully we made the game hard for ourselves with silly mistakes & wastefulness. • We missed Fofana. The defence had nervy moments in the beginning and towards the end, in particular Badiashile. Can we play RCBs at RCB & LCBs at LCB next time + Cucurella recovered well from his 2 errors & had a solid performance afterwards. At this rate it seems like we have to outscore teams cause we struggle to keep clean sheets. • Lavia had a great 1st half. Didn't misplace a pass and gave us control when we were wobbly at 2-0. Was really impressed with Sancho as well, WHAT A GOAL! • Enzo was my MOTM. Immense. He's coming into his own this season. Caicedo was being Caicedo... again😎. Good to see Palmer use his smarts to win the Pen & score. Could've had a hattrick if he scored Enzo's cut back in the 1st half. Congrats to him for breaking Yayá's record on Pens👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 long may he continue scoring them. • With Arsenal dropping points I'm so relieved we took advantage, solidified 2nd spot & trimmed the gap at the top to 4 points. • We still need a win against one of the big 3 before i start believing the "title race" talk. Until then top 4 is still the aim, everything else is a bonus. We go again next week v Brentford & in Europe. #COYB

Just a comment to the CB issue. I think Enzo plays a left footer like Badia at RCB over Tosin because Tosin is a better defender in the left channel. That combined with Badia being better at recovery runs. Tosin was a real misprofile because he is very nervy at RCB and was predominantly a LCB at Fulham. Also both Badia and Levi are good on their weaker foot, but having a left footer play in RCB/CCB gives them the ability to play the reverse pass that opens up either the other CB or a DM dropping deep to play a line breaking pass, or (as in the case with Levi in the 2nd half) allows the angle to whip the line breaker with their strong foot. Enzo knew he needed Colwill in more space on the right/center if he was going to remove Lavia from the game, along with Badiashile struggling in possession a bit.
