What is the BEST DC Universe? - Every Universe RANKED

I grew up on young justice and a bit of teen titans. But looking at what people praise about the DCAU of interactions and scenes, I can tell its something else. Compare to the ones i watched, that some are cancelled and leaving what we got is just unsatisfying. and other animated movie universe is hit or miss, especially the new movies. I haven't watch most of them but I know its not going to blow me away. DCAU still stands out as the best one from DC media.

Funnily enough, Young Justice and Teen Titans are good because they share common dna with the DCAU as a lot of the creatives for the DCAU brought in a lot of their talents for both series.

While there were definitely some good/great DCEU projects (like THE Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, ZSJL, Shazam, Blue Beetle), I completely get it being at the bottom here. It felt so disconnected that it I could’ve been convinced that they take place in different continuities. So excited for James Gunn’s DCU, he’s consistently proven himself as a high quality comic book storyteller.

Was not a fan of the DCAMU, at least some stuff, but how they adapted Superboy was realistically the closest we'll get to the comics version of Conner. The leather jacket, the goofy 90s attitude. It's so bizarre that, while the YJ version of Conner is cool and well thought out and fleshed out, he's just kinda.. not even the same character. He's basically just a brooding edgelord that eventually becomes less angry and mad at daddy.

I always liked how Young Justice would incorporate tie-in elements like comics, video games, and even an audio play into its canon. They reference or build on to each other in a nice way. Usually that tie-in media is a throw-away.

King Shark is dead, Kllier Moth is dead, Deadshoot is normally white and Ivy is dead, but all of these are present in the Sucide Squad game. This shows that it is not canon, and even though Amanda Arkham is obese, Sucide Squad is also thin, they are irrelevant in every sense.

Honestly, DC Universe Online is a pretty good universe to consider. But it’s still unknown whether or not DC really acknowledges it with it being it’s own fictional Earth. Also because it has a good blend of every continuity. If not, most of it. So for now, for me, it’s at least my top 3.

Batman Hush in the DCAMU is the only real Batman movie in that universe, the rest are Damian Wayne movies, Batman vs Robin is close to being a Batman movie, but it's clear that they didn't care as much compared to Damian. Justice League vs Teen Titans is just another Damian movie with hints of Raven, even though Damian has had enough screentime. I honestly wished they made another Titans movie in the DCAMU for Jaime, because they really did him dirty. It could've been interesting to see the Reach, but they feel like long-term antagonists.

For me my favorite DC Universe rankings are this 1. The DCAU DC Animated Universe , 2. The DCTV Arrowverse , 3. The DC Universe Original Animated Films Universe , 4. The DC Animated Universe Tomorrowverse Films , 5. Young Justice , 6. The DCEU DC Extened Universe Films and 7. Injusrice Universe. For me The DCAU and The Arrowverse will always be my favorite DC Universes sure not all the shows in the Arrowverse did worked and the many flaws and issues creped up later on down the line the shows will always hold a special place in my heart along with Smallville DCTV and The Arrowverse re ignited my interest in DC Comics live action. The DCAU will always be special from Batman TAS to Justice League Unlimited where all ways Top Tier quality animation and the story and characters very compelling. I'm biased, but the DCAU is my favorite DC universe. Growing up that universe defined most of the characters for me. I rewatch the shows a lot and I will always love them. I love Young Justice. I like most of the DCAMU as well. I still prefer a lot of earlier seasons of the Arrowverse and agree with the decline in quality. I've enjoyed the Tomorrowvese so far for the most part. I sadly dislike more DCEU movies than I like.

My only problem with the DCAU is how Batman ended up a secluded bitter old man in Batman Beyond. I never watched Batman Beyond simply because I can’t stand seeing Bruce being portrayed in that way. I know that he isn’t predisposed to have a normal life but att least let him have Dick, Barbara and Tim by his side.

Bruce actually ruins his relationship with all of them he bangs Barbara which pisses off Dick and they quit talking, Barbara wants nothing to do with Bruce after that and quits crime fighting and takes over as head of the GCPD after her father passes away & Tim becomes mentally broken after the Joker tortures him and makes him believe his is Joker JR who nearly kills Batman but is able to stop himself and accidentally kills the Joker. And the reason Bruce becomes bitter and alone is because at the start of the show Bruce tries to do crime fighting despite being in his 60’s and while fighting he suffers a heart attack and almost gets beaten by a criminal he sees a gun besides him and points it at the thug to scare him away. He becomes disgusted he had to use a gun to allow him to continue crime fighting so he decides to call it quits since he never wants to resort to guns to continue crime fighting and cuts all connections with the Justice League. I would recommend watching it over the show he slowly repairs his relationships with the league, the bat family and is a good mentor to the new Batman.

I get the controversy with Young Justice’s last 2 seasons, but I actually didn’t mind them. They’re definitely differently paced, but by the end of each season it all came together for me. Season 4 especially surprised me, and each main member getting a 4-5 episode arc that eventually tied into the others was unique (Zatanna and Dr. Fate’s storyline was super cool)

I'm not a big fan of DC New 52 universe, but there are projects in it that I really like, for example, the Death of Superman, the Reign of Supermen, as well as the Apocalypse War. And I'll say this, of all the Batman movies, I liked Batman's Son, as well as Batman Hush. Yes, yes, I'm one of those people who liked the personality twist, as well as Bruce and Selina's relationship, which is the focus of the whole movie here. But I didn't really like the Titans movies. Now about the universe of the Young Justice League. I ABSOLUTELY disagree that seasons 3 and 4 were worse than season 2. It may be worse than the first, but not the second. I don't understand the claim, what's the problem with focusing on new characters like Halo, Forager and Brion? Brion is generally one of the best characters for the entire season 3, and no one removes the old characters from us, they just already appear as teachers in season 3. And in season 4, in general, each character of the original composition of the Young League has its own arch of 4 or 5 episodes. So I don't understand the claims at all. And about Wally's death. Maybe the way to remove this character from the story was a little strange, but that's what effect it had on the team, that was powerful)) I immediately remember episode 25 of season 3, where tears come by themselves.

As fun as the games are, the Injustice series has the single worst version of the Trinity too IMO. Injustice's story has more continuity and character problems than YJ by a landslide if u look into it. For me, it'd go DCAU, YJ, DCAMU, Tomorrowverse, Injustice, then the DCEU. I can appreciate that the Tomorrowverse at least got Batman and Superman right, which is a far cry from anything I've seen with the Injustice series. The DCAMU and YJ are kinda tied for me, I like both but they both have their own problems(they both lack focus and consistant quality). Batman Hush, Justice League Throne of Atlantis and even Batman Bad Blood were worthless entries that would have been better served for a Flash and Green Lantern film. So I put Young Justice higher than the DCAMU for having more variety in who it gives the spotlight to, the universe feels a lot bigger than any universe where Batman has way too much screen time.

Funny thing about young justice is that it had a video game that was canon to the show. I remember watching the show and it mentioned a part that was shown in the game. The game was alright. Could’ve been better. As for arrowverse, I agree that it went downhill later on and I wish they introduced Batman since I think there was a concept art of Batman in the Arrowverse but I’m not sure how accurate that is.

Batman TAS and Superman TAS were good, but Justice League and Justice League unlimited were both a letdown. Rather than having sophisticated stories, it aimed at a child audience. The DCAU quality went down as it went on. So, although overall the DCAU is good, it's because it's carried by Batman TAS and Superman TAS. The DC Animated Movie Universe and Young Justice did a much better job with the characters as a whole and having it feel more mature and serious in its storytelling. As far as the DCEU, the foundations were there for a great live-action universe, but they should have started with Ben Affleck's Batman. And yes, all of the studio interference wrecked the DCEU. But after watching the Snyder Cut, I'm still itching to see a sequel and find out what happens next. The got Batman and Wonder Woman right in the DCEU. Everything was pointing to a sequel for Man of Steel where they would have gotten Superman right. They turned Aquaman into a badass like he was back in the 90s. They obviously missed with The Flash and Cyborg wasn't all that good either, but you could have changed them or put them on the back burner. Everything that I see coming out from James Gunn makes me want to see his stuff less and less. He's going to give us a 1960's Adam West clown show version of the DC characters. At that point fans will be begging to have the DCEU back (in comparison to what we're going to be getting). The truth is, I doubt that we'll ever get a DC universe that is truly great and that we deserve.

To be fair to YJ season 3, the new characters it introduces are fantastic; it just suffers from the fact that that was the first season after it returned. 3&4 aren’t really that bad, y’all just hatin’
