I definitely don't think you have an overconsumption issue but I'd love to see you talk about smaller/more sustainable brands and where they fit into your closet because although they can be expensive I still believe its better than supporting fast fashion places like Zara. Also even issues like clothing composition because synthetic fibres also negatively impact the planet even if the brand is not considered 'fast fashion'. This isn't to be critical of you - I really like your content! It's just something I think I'd like to see influencers think about more :)

A note on Patagonia - not sure if they do this in the UK, but in the US, they will fix most damaged items for free or for a nominal cost, even if it was purchased secondhand, as long as its really from the brand. I had a sweater from them where the stitching on the cuffs came undone, brought it in to a store (they also do this online, though I have heard more iffy reviews of the service online), they took it no questions asked and shipped it back to my home for free. It's worth checking if they also have this service in the UK.

As a fellow member of the wide hip gang, YES to trying in store. Specially with how crazy women's sizing can get. And also YES to finding things that hit the right spot on the hips. Too long and I just look weird. I find for me that it needs to either hit at the small part of my waist, or go below the widest part of my hips. Otherwise no thanks

Hey Lucy! Love this video as per usual. Just a note - for many people who don't fit the 'standard' sizes, trying on in-store is simply not possible because stores don't carry our size (I'm a 34 in bottoms, for example). Just worth caveating, yes, shopping instore is awesome if you can, but no shade if you don't because you're systematically excluded. 💗

Based on my experience with Ilia products, I’m guessing that concealer is orange on you now because they tend to oxidize badly after a couple of months. I liked their products at first, but won’t be buying any foundations or concealers again from them for that reason.

I love the concept of this video but I wish you said something about the fast fashion items, a disclaimer idk. We can’t all be perfect but also we shouldn’t normalize buying new for “want purchases” in my opinion in general (like I don’t think mainstream brands even the sustainable ones are actually fully transparent about workers conditions and environmental impact), let alone fast fashion! We can’t normalize the abuse these brands are operating, hope to see a pivot to second hand! Or even just wearing your older clothes content

Hey! I do a lot of the things you’ve mentioned here - much of my wardrobe is second hand, I shared many smaller brands in this video and I have owned many of my clothes for years! But I’ve also changed size in recent years and my taste has changed too. As you mentioned, I also buy from high street stores, less than I used to but I still do. If you’re looking for fully second hand clothing content you won’t find it here, but there are loads of incredible creators out there doing great vids! 🫶
