I am from EU I have travelled four times in Istanbul. It is a beautiful and interesting city, and very good to eat. I saw many beautiful cats in streets, in sultan harem too. Unfortunately this was 40 years ago! I cant travel anymore but I have a lot of nostalgia for these wonderful cats! Love its!

There's no bureaucracy. You can literally adopt any animal from streets and take them home. Also there are many animal shelters where you can adopt pets from for free.

I am sooo pleased that someone sat down with one of these beautiful cats and just hung out. I always move in the direction of pets and head rubs and such and eventually sit down on the street with a friendly cat, or if the cat seems amenable, I'll pick it up and have cuddles that way. These amazing cats seem capable of high levels of interaction. My two porch cats are not nearly as accepting of attention unless food is involved, but I am moving them incrementally to greater levels of attention. Buying an outdoor cat house for the one who is full-time on the porch.
