After I recorded this video, a 2nd Meowscarada deck made day 2 at Sao Paolo Regionals! Deck list below. limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/11175 Is Meowscarada finally meta relevant?

My deck! Iworked on it for some months too, I have a different variation for it but more or less is the same. I have just some more energy and no seal stone I guess I will add that too. Great video!
@timeafarkas5 ай бұрын
I've tried a lot of Meowscarada variations (it's the only deck I play) and for me personally, I still haven't found anything that works better than Arceus Vstar. That 2 any-card draw saved me a lot in different situations. I also think Hero's cape works really well, the 410hp takes ages for most decks to kill off meow (Chien-pao is an exception if they can set up Baxcalibur quick). I skip floragato completely and have 4 rare candys. I usually buddy poffin early for multiple Sprigatitos and Bidoof early, and then Arwen for the cape and rare candy. Hero's cape also saves Sprigatito in the active in case it gets there too early. I like starting with an Arceus V in the active since it has decent HP. The worst case is getting the Bidoof stuck in the active though I've been using escape board lately for that. I've also been using energy lotto in place of earthen vessel to get those double turbos which is fairly successful. I've been pretty consistent with variations of this deck, I definitely sniped a lot of Charizards and Roaring moons (type advantage helps there) and a few Giratinas. The most trouble for me is Chien pao or other rogue decks that are coin flip based that can luck out and deal insane damage.

Full respect to Tom Slater for taking Meowscarada Ex so far. I've been loving the Tord-Zard template that squeezes in Pidgeot Ex. So often I've found that I just need one more oiece off a Bibarel draw and Pidgeot helps to fix that. Well played, here Jett! In game one you discovered a great line to earn a massive turnaound win against Espathra! That's what makes Meowscarada so satisfying to play!
@merutosan85 ай бұрын
This deck has been main since the last format now. What I liked with it was when I had Pidgeot EX with it. This deck really needs some stability cuz every turn you need a specific card. So instead of Lumineon + seal stone I went for Pidgeot ex. Currently on ultra league but been wanting to reach master league for a long time, and sadly this deck can't go that far still. I'm waiting for Sinistcha + sinistcha ex cards for Meowscarada, it'll help a lot.

I always believed in Meowscarada, it was the first deck I played when I first started playing PTCG, it just didnt do good with the meta at the time, but now Its actually kinda solid. Still struggles against certain match ups (Moonsparce, Turbohands) but still really fun to play.

I use Vileplum for energy set up, Ironleaf and Wo-chien ex too for damage options. Its so fun hehe

How does tm devo work? Do they put the candy into hand as well?
@InThirdPerson5 ай бұрын
When you use Rare Candy, it ends up in the discard pile. TM Devolution doesn’t take the Rare Candy back from the discard pile, nor does it discard any Rare Candy in hand. It just devolves evolution Pokemon down a level.
@pinkmomba695 ай бұрын
@@InThirdPersonI understand so they are forced to find the candy again.. something so simple and silly, makes sense, thank you!

I feel that this deck is rather slow. I built a much better Ani-Charizard ex deck. It's a future deck. You really should give it a try! Pokémon: 4 Iron Leaves ex 2 Iron Hands ex 4 Iron Crown ex 4 Miraidon (Temporal Forces) 2 Iron Jugulis (Temporal Forces 139/162) Total: 16 Trainers: 4 Pal Pad 1 Prime Catcher 2 Super Rod (You can maybe replace these with 2 Arven.) 4 Switch Cart 4 Techno Radar 4 Boss' Orders 3 Iono 3 Professor's Research 4 Future Booster Energy Capsule Total: 29 10 Grass Energy 5 Lightning Energy Iron Leaves can 1 shot Charizard ex, but it can't attack during your next turn. You can remedy this by having an a FBEC attached to it for free retreat to another fully charged Iron Leaves ex or you can Switch cart to it or if you have space on your bench, you can plant one down and switch it to your active spot with its ability and place all 3 energies onto it. The great thing about Iron Crown ex's Amp You Very Much attack is that it only requires 1 Lightning Energy. It's also got a high energy cost of 4 and is it's weaker attack with a base attack of only 120. However, Miraidon is its best friend and you can fully charge it with 2 Peak Accelerations and it's max damage output is 220 with 4 Iron Crown ex on the bench and FBEC attached to it. It can 1 shot quite a few Pokémon V and VStar and any water type Pokémon. It can also polish off what Miraidon didn't KO. Leave those Charizard ex for Iron Leaves ex, though. That's your ticket to a 1 shot. I always prefer to go second. So, that my Miraidon can deal that quick damage and start charging my benched Pokémon immediately. It also has the potential to donk the opponent, if they have only 1 Pokémon in play. I always put 4 FBEC and 4 Switch Cart in my Future decks because I want to have as much retreating opportunities as possible. I wanted to max out my Boss' Orders and run Prime Catcher because I want to pluck up my opponent's Pokémon as much as possible and the 1 Charmander I miss, results in Charizard ex and the GG. Even if I'm running a grass deck. Charizard ex doesn't care if it's facing it's weakness. You're SOL if that broken trash comes out. Anyone running Charizard ex pretty much has an auto-win. So, I'm hoping this deck can be the best counter to Charizard ex that I've created, yet. Having all basics that pack a punch is great. Then my raw draw power in Prof.'s research and Iono helps in a big pinch. I'm looking forward to Iron Thorns ex. That kills Charizard ex! It puts Charizard ex and all other Pokémon that are not Future Pokémon under Ability Lock. The only downside is that it has to be in the active spot. So, hopefully your opponent doesn't read its Ability. So, that you can win.

A lot of people hype up their own decks in the comments with nothing to back it up. I’m glad you’ve taken the effort to share your list and include the strategy of how to play it!
@Number1SethRollinsFan5 ай бұрын
@@InThirdPerson Hey, thanks! I hope you find Iron Jugulis to be quite handy like me. It can help with Amp You Very Much because damaging it causes damage 3 damage counters to be placed on the attacker. It's also got a good, strong, solid attack. So, it's a nice backup attacker as well.

that damn stadium has a bug on the game, you should have been abel to use meowscarada ability without adding the grass energy to attack only 80damage, meowscarada is not basic so there is a bug with that card
@InThirdPerson5 ай бұрын
It’s not a bug with the stadium. Espathra’s ability forces Pokemon to need 1 more energy to attack.
