@@ElectricRob Thanks for replying. Sir, I am an Electrical Engineer and currently in the learning phase. I am focusing on Revit MEP and following your channel. But I have a question. Should I learn Autocad Electrical as well ?

@@syedshershah7896 Great to hear! I wish you much success in your engineering career! As far as Autocad, in the industry we are seeing less and less, and more Revit. But it is still used in some firms. So my advice to you is to definitely focus on Revit, and try to find out if you will need CAD or not - really is a firm by firm decision.

Dear Rob sir, can you please make one explanation video on the load classifications and demand factor, how these are playing an important role while we designing building.
@ElectricRobАй бұрын
Hey there - I will definitely put that on my list of electrical design topics to cover!

For the MDB panel, would the MCB be considered the main disconnect or would that along with the fuses? If its just the MCB its just one, if the fuses are included its 5 disconnects. Just wanted to clarify because you’re permitted no more than 6.

Yes, the main circuit breaker (MCB) would be considered the one and only service (main) disconnect in this situation, and the fused switches end up being more of a sub-disconnect. Turning off that main circuit breaker would de-energize the entire service. Thanks for the question!

@@ElectricRob Awesome. Thank you for the video and clarification! Makes navigating this new discipline a lot easier. I’m just out of college starting in building code enforcement with no experience and not many resources to go off of; videos like this help tremendously.

@@alejandropina4444 Glad to hear this video is helpful to you, and good luck in your new position! So far, this channel has primarily focused on Revit for electrical building design, but I'm going to be also including more videos specifically about MEP Electrical Engineering topics - stay tuned!

Won't it be nice when Revit automates this process (and fixes electrical legends as well)?

Yeah, no idea what they have in mind for future updates. I know there are 3rd party apps that will generate one-line diagrams, if you want to go that route.
