Great harvest! It's hard to explain people how everything grows in Portugal. As a musician , when I toured, I use to bring different kinds of plants, from everywhere, and my mother (who has a green hand), would grow it, no matter the kind! As an anecdote, I love Phisalys. When my mother noticed it, she started growing it a lot, to the point where she would make Phisalys Jam! My favorite jam ever! Glad to see the Earth is welcoming you both! Well deserved! Take care!

peel the apples and slice them in a pan melt the butter and place the apple slices, the piece of cinnamon, 3 cloves and the tablespoon of sugar. If the passion fruit is too sour, add more sugar to taste. It's not meant to be sweet, it's meant to accompany savory dishes. In another pan put 120ml of passion fruit juice. Passion fruit from your garden. Allow to reduce 3/4 of the juice. Sift and add this juice to the pan with the apples. Ten minutes of medium heat and it will be ready. I eat at room temperature. goes with any meat. Add a pinch of salt, I forgot, and enjoy. From Rio de Janeiro to Portugal

One thing I sure miss about being on the property in the summer time was the fresh fruit, just grab and eat !!!!! I wouldn't even bother to wash, my mother used to get so mad, because I would get a sore tummy, but I would do it again. Saudades from Canada !
