The Gran Premio of Merano with a prize money of 380.000 € (160.000 for the winner) is a pretty good income. But in general there is no relation between effort and earnings. I don´t wanna talk about 4.000.000 € of the Paris Arc De Triomphe-race... but this risk over the jumps for a few peanuts? Merano is a great adress for the steeplechase-horses, because without this racecourse.. you know what I mean. We should be happy about every racecourse, where horses over the hurdles are still welcome.
