Have the 2019 GLS AMG. I love the interior of this year/model but not sold on the lines on the exterior. Doesn’t look as aggressive.

I prefer it. The evolution is appreciated. The previous GLS was a facelift GL, the design dimensions are almost a decade old and it looks it. The new one was built from the ground up and as a result, looks more modern and sleeker. I don't think it looses it's aggression I think it simply adds beauty. This is a really good looking SUV, and in person is something else.

I wish Mercedes modernized the G-class in its design, so it would look at modern and sleek as a Range Rover, while still being distinct. Or rather: I wish Range Rover had the Mercedes badge and Mercedes tech. The GLS just looks terrible from every angle unfortunately.

You're sitting too far away from the wheel and having to make an effort to lean forward to reach the 12 o'clock at times. Not a good way to assess a car, and not very safe if you need to take evasive action from a pedestrian, cyclist, or car. You're miles away from the airbag danger zone.
