Enjoy the story of how Robin came to find his Fintail, and the effort that has gone in to it. Music: Precious Memories by Shane Ivers www.silvermansound.com

Outstanding ! The heckflosse were amazing sedans in the 1960's and they remain so for their handcrafted build quality. i'm nearing the end of restoring/modifying a 1964 220b myself. I couldn't bear to see the car being hauled away to be crushed. The power train on my 220 came from a 1971 280SE. When the California Dept. of Motor Vehicles inspected it, they thought it was original. Hope you enjoy your W111 along those beautiful UK backroads! 3 cheers!!!

Fantastic car and a true Mercedes-Benz aficionado. Robin very kindly used his W111 for my wedding car. Excellent video.

Your 200 is the best example that I have seen. I have a fully restored 1964 190 W110 (4 cylinder) which was the car that I learned to drive in and I found it after 35 years lost in a lock-up garage (intact but rotten). I found new bumpers in Vietnam but (as you know) there are few parts available anywhere.

Thank you for saving this wonderful car. It looks fantastic in that deep blue. In 1962 I bought the Dinky Toy version as a schoolboy and this and the 600 have been favourites ever since. I’m fortunate to own a couple of Daimler-Benz. The headlights, radiator grille and bumpers of this particular model are iconic and never bettered for effect. The pride and joy you must feel in restoring the car, as well as the pleasure of taking it out are priceless. What a shame that it was left to deteriorate by the dealership. Thank you for your video. I still have a black and white photo of the cheaper round headlight 190 fin tail that I persuaded my mum to follow and photograph in Southport circa 1963. Not sure that I ever saw one like yours as they were very expensive. And I still have the light blue Dinky in my bookcase.👍🏻🏴🏴

Love these beautiful cars. This is a real car. I have a Mercedes B 180 from 2016. Too much plastick on it. This is a steel King*
